Back in 2016, when I was 12 years old, I boarded an Emirates A380 heading for the U.A.E. I was coming back from a trip to the Reunion island to say one last goodbye to my dying grandmother. It was just my father and I. He booked two business class tickets for a 10+ hour flight. Not only did I feel as if I was being treated like a king, but halfway through the flight, I went to check on my dad and see what he was up to. He was in the bar lounge. A flight attendant working the bar (like the one in the Short) asked little me if I wanted to pour my dad a drink behind the counter. I was extatic. I even got to make my own drink after my father's. It was a moment I will never forget.

I prefer Emirates one. Just looks like a cool bar to me. Also I have to say, the best conversation I had in a plane were in the Emirates bar. So maybe my decision is a bit influenced.

alcohol limited there. only in some hotel, restourant or place (like this airplane). bc 70% of people that live there come from other country. doesnt mean u can drink in public space that don't ask permission about alcohol usage in first place.

Qatar Airways bar looks good but it is fairly small, also the seating isn't as good for socializing

Sorry - only one we can afford is the class below economy!

Both are impressive and I hope I get the privilege to try it one day. That said I would choose emirates just because it seems more open and easy to move around, the Qatar bar seems like a barrier cutting through the space

I’ve flown on the Airbus 380 for going from hong kong to rome (back and forth) and the service is really good on the bar. they actually let you go in and take a picture with them, pour a drink… but idk about qatar cus i had never flown it… maybe in the future!

The bar shape looks better on Qatar but I don't like a sofa against the bar and the materials looks better on Emirates but Qatar's sofa next to the windows is nice too..

Its because it operates international flights and they can allow it as it is on a plane which barely stays in the country it belongs to especially such big airlines add them for the passengers who are flying and are not muslims as then they would get scammed because they will not have the full experience of the first class
