Why 'ed'

"Shehzada aye ga meri beti ko mehal my ly jaye ga or waha meri beti shehzadi ban kr rahy gi". Instead of saying this to her daughter she should rather say "Meri beti apni mehnat sy apny liye mehal banaye gi or wha rahy gi" but no. When will we come out from these typical stereotypes? Why we are always looking for shortcuts for our happiness? Why we need a man to rely on for our happiness? Can't we just work hard and conquer everything by ourself? Is it that difficult?
