What sparked the concept of Sparks Motors?
Heavy D’s old man was a hot rod maniac. The guy was a freak of nature when it comes to vehicles. He taught Heavy D at a young age to play with anything motorized. The past generations of the Sparks’ family has built awesome vehicles. Heavy D’s dad had a brain tumor and died ten years ago so he was never able to really fulfill that dream of his. So Heavy D has taken his family’s love for anything motorized and created it into a family legacy.
What is Torq Energy?
We have great partnerships with a lot of different energy drink companies, but one thing that we were finding was that they had similar ingredients. With Torq Energy, the key ingredient is theacrine, which is very entrusting because it increases your focus. We wanted a functional energy drink, not one that just makes you feel buzzed. We’re going to be working on some promotions here soon because we want you all to try it. Plus a portion of every can sold goes to help the military!
When is the rocking rally giveaway over and how do you select the winner?
It ends November 6, 2017 at 11:59 P.M. mountain standard time. We select the winner how we always do. We have a third party company that makes it neutral and fair. We send all our entries to them, they randomly pick ten finalists, and send them back to us. We then do our contests that make it fun to narrow it down and come up with the final winner of the giveaway!
Where did you all learn to speak Spanish so fluently?
We actually learned to speak Portuguese in Portugal and we also have some hispanic mechanics that work with us that have been teaching us. Heavy D learned to speak Spanish when he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Santa Cruz, Bolivia when he was younger. It was the best two years of his life. Red Beard learned some Spanish earlier too on a service mission in Venezuela.
What did you all do down in Houston?
Houston was a wild ride! We were able to get 3 semi-truck loads full of supplies for the people who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. We got to take some of our monster trucks down there too. Those were the vehicles that we used because the water was too high for normal vehicles. We’d go help people who were stranded in their homes or in neighborhoods that were surrounded by water. We would bring them to the National Guard checkpoint where they would then bust them out to somewhere safe. We were able to station a couple of places too and deliver supplies where people didn't want to leave so they could also have water, food, baby supplies, etc. It was amazing to see that we could use our social media sites to be able to bring so many supplies to the people who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. We loved it. We were able to help and also have fun doing it.
What is the supplement line that you came out with?
We build trucks, not supplements. So we decided to go and find a company that specializes in supplements to help us. This company probably has the fastest growing supplements in the country right now. We got BCAA's, pre-workout, test boosters, etc. If it’s not the best BCAA’s you’ve had, send it back. We all drink it on a daily basis. We are going to continue to push and amplify that line.
What’s the co-branded thing with Climb Gear? What is your honest opinion of Climb Gear?
We’ve been using Climb Gear since it first came out. It’s by far the top leading gear for snowmobile enthusiasts since we can remember. Polaris has now bought Climb Gear so now they have the backing of a multi-billion dollar company. Polaris is one of our biggest partners and favorite companies.
Are there any big products coming up?
There are a couple big products coming out. One of them is the Legion Tonneau covers. They are unbelieveable. There is nothing like them on the market. They’re aluminum, durable, light-weight, and completely weatherproof. The quality and price is second to none. Now let’s talk about the Diesel Power wakeboard boat. We’ve worked with Malibu (Axis) boats for a long time and have had a phenomenal relationship with them. We went to our friend who owned Axis and told him that we should build a Diesel boat. Right now in our build, we are going to put a marine Duramax in a Axis A24. The build plan is locked down with around 700-750 HP.

I'm absolutely stunned and impressed. Superb mechanics, bilingual, and Christians. I drove 4 hours one way to find someone who could simply tune my 08 diesel. Y'all would have been impressed very young man, full time farmer. He climbed under my truck with a flashlight and did all the deletes and it has never ran better.

I love this show, and love the fact you guys support military personnel and veterans, I was wondering if they plan to expand into other states, or countries, and also for the semi-truck build, build one like those homes away from home, with a flat screen TV, with cameras outside the truck, to see in blind spots, and to watch your show, as you drive down the road. Maybe do a semi-truck drag race with trailers, down snow?

Keep up the awesome builds and I hope if the show ever goes away you guys would transition back to KZread for all your content.

I was at the shop back in July 2017. I was headed up to a visit a friend in Brigham City and I stopped by and took some pics of myself with the trucks out front. While I was there the Grand Cherokee drove in then two motorcycles left pretty sure it was Heavy and Diesel.

As a question for your techs, I’m a 16 year old kid who just got my license and wants a truck at some point in the next few years for sometime in college what would you recommend needs to run on a tight budget and come pretty close to never dieing and have the ability to do some nice custome touches to it down the road ( lift rims tires wrap the basics)

Nathaniel Lifer I really appreciate it. Unfortunately there is no cure for gleoblastoma brain tumors. Just have to make the best of each day you have with loved ones. I guess. I'm not really sure somedays how to go about it

An idea to pick a winner is who can spin on a tea cup the longest before puking
I have a creative idea for you to pick a winner: I call it "the luck of one mans blind will"; First get (costume) sumo suits and have to narrow down the numbers in a traditional sumo circled area match blind folded. Second once narrowed down to 3or4 (your choice) you will carry it over to a bungee jump where you must wear the (blown up) sumo suit and each contestant will jump with a basket ball and have to try to judge and throw the ball at a target blind folded at a ring on the bottom. The closets or who hits the ring wins and can announce their name who there playing for.
