I was on the verge of buying the new Kef LS50 Wireless 2's.... I might have to wait just a little bit more :-D
I just ordered my active 200 speaker. I hope to be surprised !!
When I thought Yopple makes really "imeizing" products, I would buy something like these. But thanks to Cook I've started to appreciate real values.
Magnifiques !
looks like in awesome product.
Nice design and ideas. Do the hub can deal with DSD or MQA?
yes..i'm listening to all those beautiful words without the mentioned speaker even make a sounds....
is there a way to use them without bluetooth? Also, how much will the floorstanding version be?
This is amazing!!
Kinda wish they made the 30xx series into active speakers, they just have an unmatched clean and understand aesthetic.
Super!!!
Can the system be expanded with more speakers or is it just stereo?
I'm intrigued
Will you be bringing out a non active set of these speakers ? I hope so has I used to have your old q-AV set up sound bar ,and that sounded amazing the rear speakers also used the same technology and the combination was fantastic

Hi, thanks for your question. Sadly not, this product has been designed and built from the ground up to be our perfect active speaker system.
I kinda like active speakers, but hiding those power cables are not that easy, especially good cables are quite thick.
I'd like to know how they compare to the Concept 300.
Really nice design! Reminds me of the Sonos Sub. The system looks similar to the that of System Audio and Buchardt with their WiSa hub. Does this also use WiSa technology? What about pricing? And does it have EQ and room correction on board?

Thanks for your questions. We are not currently part of the WiSA Trade Organisation. Pricing starts at GBP1,499 for the stand-mount Q Active 200 and there is comprehensive speaker location equalisation is on board.

@@QacousticsCoUk I hope you plan to add WiSA support in future update. That would be perfect for a home theater system as more and more TV will including it. Also add 3.1 (LCR and Sub) or 5.1 support too.
I have music file on may NAS, can it play direct conect my nas? Can it play dsd file?
Really great nice for digital sound. Digitizing an analog turntable signal to send it to an active loudspeaker via wifi is something I personally consider blasphemy
@samueltaylor2757

Might not feel right but surely most of the analogue charm happens at the turntable? The job of an integrated amp is to be as transparent as possible unless you are in to tube preamps. Digital achieves this transparency
It sound good. But it seems it miss wisa compatibility to be perfect ... 😞
Do we need a subwoofer for this system or the inbuilt sub is good enough for movies?
@Farengast
3 жыл бұрын
The answer for subwoofers is almost always "it depends". Floor standing speakers tend to produce good enough bass for vocals and instrumental music (i.e. a bass guitar or double bass instrument generally produces few frequencies below 40Hz) but will not be good enough for bass heavy electronic music where you can more often have deep bass frequencies. Movies it really depends on your preference, if you really want bass that you rattles the ice cubes in your drink you'll probably want discreet subs. Basically subs are needed if: 1) your floor standers aren't very good at bass 2) you want very low
Live music demo please.
Id be very interested in that streamer box as a standalone if it had analog or digital out (without the connectivity to the active speakers) for my existing setup (to connect to my amp/receiver) with my 3030’s

I'm using Q3020i speakers paired with a music server running squeeze server 8 on a raspberry pi 4. Awesome sound at 25% of the cost of these. If you already have speakers the server costs about $200 to build. Check out the pi core project or Max2play online.
In the video the ones with two subs in you say 480 watts is that the pair or each.

Hi, BMR drivers can operate over a very wide bandwidth, up to and beyond the high frequency limits of human hearing. In this implementation the upper driver deals with almost the full bandwidth from 150Hz to 20KHz. It is augmented by the lower BMR driver from the mid-range down and then the rear-mounted subwoofer takes over below 150Hz.

Simon Cross I guess if you use active speakers that can run in singles like most studio monitors, then all you have to do is run wire from a receiver to them. I don’t know about if you wanted to wirelessly transmit the audio however

I just want to hear the 'magic' speakers that marketing people insist on filming in rooms that seem to have been purpose-built to give listeners the absolute worst possible experience. I guess a treated listening room doesnt fit the narrative, and I see a lot of claims re DSP addressing room modes but I've yet to hear this magic for myself. For all I know, these are indeed the speakers I seek but having someone from Q Acoustics tell me that the sound is spectacular doesnt loosen the tight grip I need to maintain on my wallet in these troubled times.

I didn’t know anyone trademarked “BMR”. You can buy such drivers by themselves and there’s diy speakers with them. You could even build a knockoff passive version of this Q acoustics using them and a small high excursion driver :) Or stick the Cambridge minis on top of a sub
As a Loudspeaker design house. I wonder at the point of a loudspeaker that is indeed signal "Wireless" with all it's onboard DSP etc. That you still need to "Plug in" to a power supply. Sure onboard has it's advantages of shorter load connections & discrete drive of the transducers But "Wireless"??? It needs a power source all the same. I think this is using misleading language to ensnare buyers. Or do you have to recharge them? Makes no mention of how they are powered at all. Nope just bandy about the "Wireless" bit. I am currently working on a no nonsense type that has also a "Magic box" for all kinds of media feed. But it comes as a loudspeaker with DSP & "Multielement drive" But it receives a balanced audio signal from said "Box" is necessary to power it from a source of mains. But also will be available as a remote amp fed & a standalone. This is technology for it's own sake.
Q acoustic need to try answering there emails and telephone calls!!!
Too bad, it loos like an AC column..
So it looks like a Star Wars droid. Or is that just me seeing that.
Hhhmmm. This is a very unexpected driver choice/ arrangement.... Is this focused on minimising the cabinet size? I just hope the sound quality matches the brands standards.
@QacousticsCoUk

Hi, thank you for your question. The choice of BMR drivers was more about getting that special wide dispersion sound and not having a crossover in a critical area of the audio band. They are particularly suited to being in an active speaker, we have many years of experience designing with them and we’re sure you won’t be disappointed by the sound quality.

Why are you shaking too much while briefing? It's annoying...
Radiators are by far the best way to achieve 180 degree "presentations"? No, that would be using speakers facing opposite directions. Radiators are for low frequencies only as they replace reflex ports, which makes them useless for higher frequencies (voice for ex). Nothing there is revolutionary, all that technology can be found in existing speakers, and with 2x 4.5" bass drivers the thing wont be shaking any windows too much. No mentioning of any dac or sampleing processor, which matter far higher than almost all the other stuff. iMac of audio, all that stuff can be put together for $250, but youre charging how much? $1000....$2000? Yeah nah not really 10x
