At Miata Reunion in October 2023, FM's Keith Tanner had the pleasure to sit down and chat with the core of the original Miata design team. "Miata Papa" Tom Matano, Bob Hall, Mark Jordan, Norman Garrett, and Ken Saward discuss the past and future of the Miata and tell some amazing stories from their time working on our favorite little convertible. Hear first hand accounts of the Miata's inspirations, challenges and thoughts of the future from these Miata legends from the beautiful Sonoma Raceway in California. The free market nEver makes a mistake.. the RX7and Miata prove it. I’ve owned both and now still have an NC1.. I will never let it go. Every Miata I pass we wave at each other. The convertible was not something I cared for till I drove Miata’s.. yes this miracle cat saved convertibles. There’s a Miata Club guy goes by the name “ Top Down if No Frost Bite”… pretty much sums it all up doesn’t it?!? Greatest pure sports car ever produced.
