Q&A With KT Tunstall

Музыка

KT Tunstall's life during the pandemic has been pretty similar to all the other musicians trying to get by while their biggest source of income has been taken away from them. She wrote and recorded a timely track during lockdown (“Wash Ya Hands,” featuring Grace Savage and the Freelance Hellraiser), with proceeds going to charity (War Child UK and WaterAid). She's done virtual and drive-in shows. She teamed up with MusicGurus to launch "Song Studies With KT Tunstall," her first online music course. She has a new dog. And she's also working on the final installment of her "Spirit, Body And Mind" trilogy (following 2016's "KIN" and 2018's "WAX"), which is due out next year. So once again, Tunstall has taken the drastic and found a way to make it fantastic.

That's funny. To "blow someone off" must mean something different in the UK. In America that's a totally family-friendly expression which basically means that you didn't do what you promised to do. Such as something like, "I never got the refund in the mail so I thought the company had blown me off, but it turns out the mail was delayed" or "I promised to help a friend move but I blew him off and went to a movie instead."
