I am an exmuslim, I just listened to all the videos of William Lane Craig. The speeches about God and Christianity are so logic and understandable, then I started reading bible. Finally I left Islam and converted to Christianity. I am so happy that I took a decision in my life. Thanks Jesus Christ for bringing love in my heart. And now I knew the true God. Amen amen ! 🙏

Dr. William Lane Craig, I appreciate your Answers to the Questions asked by several people. I listen to them all. I understood some of the questions I had which you have answered. Thank you. I am from a Hindu family - (Idol worshipers ). I found Christ , rather He found me When I was exposed to Bible verses while studying in a Christian school at the age of 19, and now I am walking with the Lord Jesus Christ praying to make me like Him in my attitudes and actions. I am 71 . God bless you and use you to many thousands who are struggling to find the Truth. Amen.

I would go one further..."Only a fool says in their hearts there is no God" Right! God wrote his law on the hearts of mankind even if that man was the only man on earth he would know God exists...and they do, When some people get upset that you should talk about God to them, and say oh i don't believe in God or act as if he does not exists God says through his word they do know! They are upset because it is hard enough for them to deny God to self, let alone you should bring God up! Be Blessed!

Miraculous Features of the Quran Prophesying the Future There is a chapter in the Quran which clearly prophesizes a future event. The name of the chapter is Ar-Rum and it starts with verses, which state that Byzantines were defeated in a war, but would defeat their enemy later. These verses were revealed in around 616, shortly after the Byzantines were severely defeated by the idolater Persians. In this war, the loss of Byzantines was so severe that it was almost impossible for the Byzantines to survive. Additionally, the Byzantine Empire had other enemies such as Avars and Slavs. Because of these facts, the Arab idolaters of the era of Muhammad (PBUH) were of the view that the victory of Byzantines mentioned in these verses would never come true. Indeed, they were making fun of these verses. Later in 622, nearly six years after the revelation of those verses, Byzantines made a war against the Persian Empire and unexpectedly defeated their enemy. Thus, the Quranic verses prophesizing the victory of the Byzantines came true, which is an apparent Quranic miracle. The Scientific Miracles of the Quran In addition to touching on various issues, the Quran includes many miracles about diverse topics. Examples of those topics include the features of the Earth and the Sun, bone loss in old age, and the balance in the universe. Some of those miracles are discussed next. 1) The Development of the Fetus: The Quran discusses everything related to the development of fetus in detail: “Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.” The order for this complex process is given in the Quran as 1) Al-Nutfah (drops of semen); (2) Al-Alaqah (a leech-like clot); (3) Al-Mudghah (a chewed flesh); (4) bone phase; (5) clothing with flesh (i.e., stage of having muscles), 6) phase of creation and ability to live, etc. (see also Yusuf Al-Hajj Ahmad’s work for the explanations of all the related verses ). The Quranic expressions of this process, which has not been understood until the 20th century, completely agree with the observations of modern embryologists. 2) Expanding Universe: It is stated in the Quran that the universe has been expanding. For many years in the history of science, it has been argued that the universe is endless or infinite, and it is scientifically proven that the universe is expanding. In 1929, American astronomer Edwin Hubble observed that telescopes and galaxies were moving away from each other, thereby proving that the universe is expanding. The fact that this scientific fact is reported in the Quran in an environment in which technology has been inadequate for such matters fourteen centuries ago shows that the Quran is not a product of the human mind. 3) Verses about Honey Bee: The Quranic verses about honey bee emphasizes the task of finding nest: “And your Lord inspired to the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct.” A word in the Arabic language is spoken in different forms for males and females. There is a word used for females in the verses related to bees. So the female bee is emphasized in the above verse. Recent research has shown that only female honey bees work for the task of producing honey. Therefore, this verse informs us of a miracle about honey bees. 4) Mornings that Breathe: Plants take carbon dioxide and give oxygen to the air by performing photosynthesis. This process begins with the sunrise and hence during the times of the morning, photosynthesis is most intense at tree leaves and other plants. During these times, the atmosphere can be thought to breathe as if it is a living thing. The start of photosynthesis is miraculously implied in the following verse. “…And by the night as it closes in, and by the dawn when it breathes.” 5) The Atmospheric Pressure: Consider the following verse. “So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe.” Breathing gets harder as one ascends to the sky, the reason of which is explained as follows. The atmosphere has weight and pressure towards the Earth, and our body contains an internal pressure against this pressure. As one ascends to the sky, the air density decreases, which means that the atmospheric pressure drops. However, our internal pressure does not drop at the same rate. Besides, breathing becomes difficult due to the decrease in the oxygen rate. As a result, one’s breast becomes tight and gets constricted, as stated in the above verse. Note that in the era of Muhammad (PBUH), it was impossible to discover this fact because of the technological deficiency and hence the above verse should be viwewed as another apparent miracle. 6) Barriers between Seas: Scientific studies have shown that Mediterranean water is not mixed with the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, which has a very different salinity, and that there is a water barrier between these two different seas. A similar water barrier was discovered in the 1960s in the Mendep Bosphorus, where Aden Bay and the Red Sea joined together. Miraculously, this event is mentioned in the following verse: “He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.” In addition to the abovementioned miracles, the Quran includes miracles related to topics including but not limited to “creation in pairs”, “the orbit of the Moon and dependence on the Sun”, “heavens not supported by pillars”, “geoidal form of the world”, and “mountains as pegs”. The Nature of Certain Revelations The knowledge of the descent time of several revelations along with the reason why they were revealed is crucial in clearly observing the fact that Muhammad (PBUH) had no control over revelations. The Quran includes several verses revealed in response to the Prophet's and the believers’ (i.e., Muslims) attitudes in a particular situation. Consider the following example. “The Prophet frowned and turned away, because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified, or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? As for he who thinks himself without need, to him you give attention. And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.” In the above verses, Allah criticizes the Prophet’s attitude towards a blind Muslim who came to him to ask several questions about Islam, while he was in the middle of a discussion with an unbeliever of a higher class. When the blind man interrupted Muhammad (PBUH), he first asked the man to wait until the conversation ends. When the man insisted on talking to him immediately, the Prophet continued his conversation with the unbeliever. The point is that it is impossibly difficult for the Prophet to fabricate the above verses, which explicitly condemn his attitude towards the blind man during an ordinary conversation. In another verse, the Quran mentions the attitude of the believers of Muhammad’s era towards Allah: “[Remember] when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats and you assumed about Allah [various] assumptions.” The above verse is about the extremely hard situation of the Muslims during the war of Trench. In addition to being besieged by the Meccan idolaters, they faced the betrayal of the Jews living in Medina. Essentially, during this war, the entire Muslim community was likely to be destroyed. The verse reveals that, because of the severity of their situation, some Muslims had bad feelings towards Allah. Note that this verse should be considered as a response to the Muslims’ inner thoughts, which cannot be known externally. Due to the fact that they are in the form of response to Muhammad’s as well as the believers’ attitudes, the above verses can be viewed as another miraculous feature of the Quran. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXp1x6yDfqjOoJc.html

For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” -Matthew 16:17-19 The Church didn’t disappear And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. -Jeremiah 29:13 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3:16 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out. - Acts 3:19 If you’re in North America, please go check out any of the churches available to you: PCA, OPC, Rpcna/Rpc, Urcna, or a canrc church (These are conservative and actual Presbyterian churches) If you can’t find one of the conservative presby churches then, maybe a Lcms Lutheran church. Never limit the Sovereignty of God that if one shows a modicum of any faith towards God that God who is not limited by time nor space and is more than able to provide that one with both the placement in time and placement in the place of the world so they will hear the entire gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ and there is no faith without hearing. Scripture tells us this explicitly. Romans 10:13-14 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? Sorry Dr. Craig, you may be an intellectual but you can't over intellectualize God and His word. He has been quite clear. God is not on trial. This Is His plan and we can't just change scripture just to make Him fit what we think is just. Read Job 38-42 if you think you can.

If god existed as a part of our axiomatic set up, our universe would be an complete system which is by definition a CONTRADICTORY one, i.e. it cannot balance itself and must destruct itself. However, we live and observe the system (universe) is balanced and exist; therefore god does not exist. WLC is either an idiot or (which I believe in) lies in order to make his living. There are so many stupid people, like you, to believe in what he is lying about and create a delusional piece of mind.

It can also serve to further shape your world views, educate your over all perspectives, and dismiss or eliminate any hay makers and sky daddy ideas one may blindly hold. A practical approach to one's spirit and walk can easily translate to a lifestyle and routine of a martial artist. There are flaws and smart ass quips to piggy back off my analogy but like James 4:8, you got to be on the mat and willing to participate. Craig improving on the kalam or Leibniz, improving on Darwin observations with Mendel's work, is all very similar to working the sword fighting out of Judo and evolving a practical self defense strategy from the major breakthroughs of Jigoro Kano, Mitsuyu Maeda, and the Gracie Family of Brazil. Most of the time, Atheists are just conflating philosophy with science because they don't know the difference... so they just hand-wave dismiss all philosophical claims as false just because they can't be scientifically verified. That's what philosophy IS... it deals with beliefs beyond the limitations of the scientific method. That means they're adhering to the self-refuting philosophy of Scientism. Here's why it's self-refuting: The claim *Truth can only be known if it's scientifically verified* cannot be scientifically verified ITSELF. So anyone arguing as if Scientism is true has declared belief in a philosophy that philosophies can't be true, which is self-refuting and false by necessity

@@lightbeforethetunnel All of Craigs arguments are irrelevant or bullshit, let´s start with his cosmological argument. Nobody knows how the universe came into existence, so to claim that it was his god is the so called "god of the gaps fallacy". We have that in all human history. Pretty much every time we had a question nobody was able to answer, a guy like Craig came around screaming it was his god. The problem is that every single time we later figured out an actual answer, it never was a god. Let´s go to fine-tuning. This universe is dead and lethal to way over 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999...%, how this should be evidence for an intelligent creator is ridiculous and in any way of course only an empty unsupported claim. It´s as good as claiming that invisible unicorns have pooped this universe into existence. That the biblical genesis account is bullshit (like exodus, a worldwide flood and so on) is something i should not need to explain to an educated person. How any of Craigs talk should or even could possibly be evidence for a strange spacemonster that made his own virgin mother pregnant with himself to sacrifice himself to himself, because a woman made out of ribs was told by a snake to eat a magical apple, is something nobody has ever been able to explain to me. Morality also doesn´t help his point. We evolved as a social species and we are intelligent, so we understand that if we do not like to get punched in the face, that other person also doesn´t like it, so we don´t punch them and they don´t punch us and we all can live in peace. Nobody needs a god to figure that out and for sure not a god as this monster from the bible who is arguably the most unpleasant person in all fiction:jealous and proud of it;a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak;a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser;a misogynistic.homophobic,racist,filicidal,pestilential.megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully. Last point is his evidence for Jesus walking around as a zombie. The stories from Jesus are nothing but very weak copies from other older myths, like from gods such as Horus, Mythras or of course Chrishna ( Christ) No person that lived during Jesus supposed lifetime wrote a single word about him. It is all hearsay in best case, written by some anonymous fanboys decades later, that also contradict themselves in pretty much every story. So, now i hope you understand better why i call Craig a useless tool.

a45williams I beg to differ. It just sounds good on paper. We know that excess energy will heat, and lack of it will cause cold. @@roieis Lack of heat does not cause cold. In physics there is no such thing as "coldness". When you touch something that is 200 degree F, due to the materials that your body is made out of, signals are sent to your brain and your brain perceives the temperature as being hot. When you touch something that is 10 degrees F, the materials in your hand send the signals to your brain and your brain perceives the temperature in another way. In reality, there is no such thing as "coldness". You cannot add "coldness" to some object. You can only add more heat, or remove heat from an object. Once you hit absolute zero (0 degrees Kelvin), you cannot remove anymore heat from an object, and you certainly cannot add "coldness" to it. Absolute zero is the end point at which you cannot go any further. Either you have zero heat, or you have some heat. There is no such thing as coldness. Good and evil are not opposites. God is the absolute standard of Goodness. God IS the Good. If you were perfect and did everything right according to God, you would be 100% good. The moment you do something that is not what God wants, you have fallen away from God. This falling away from God is what is called evil. The Kelvin temperature scale goes from 0K to about 10^32 Kelvin. Scientists are not sure if the Plank Temperature is the upper limit or not, but that is what they are thinking at the moment. God is at 100% and pure evil is as 0%. 0K (point which all heat is removed)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------10^32K (upper limit of heat energy) 0% God (total removal of God is pure evil)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------100% God (total perfect Goodness is God)

I am protesting the comparison between "cold (as humans feel it - I imagine this is what Dr. Graig meant) is a deprivation of heat like evil is a deprivation of what is good." I disagree with the latter part. If you pre-suppose that God exists and that God IS the Good, then everything you wrote would be true. But I don't pre-suppose that God exists. You cannot use the desired conclusion in an argument, in order to convince people of the merits of the argument and draw them to that same conclusion. Its circular logic, so it doesn't work.

What I have told people is this: If Jesus/Yahusha is indeed the true God, then everything we have today, passed down through His prophets and scribes is sufficient for us, and we then must trust that He has preserved all the necessary truths we need to be led and to be taught by His Spirit. Yes indeed. God provides.

I think that is precisely what it means to live a christian life on earth. If we say GOD loves us and we need not to do any thing good, I think then we are not really believing in the Lord Jesus. For Jesus says: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:43-44)

Craig is a moron. His arguments aren't particularly original or thought out. In fact, his daughter became an atheist after finding a monumental flaw in his rhetoric that unravels everything he ever taught her about his Christian faith. What he is is a skilled debater who is quite good at sounding intellectual without actually saying anything of meaning. He's good at avoiding questions that unravel his arguments by either misquoting his opponents, redefining their questions, flat out misinterpreting the Bible to make his argument sound valid, and just generally being a condescending ass. That's why he prefers a debate format. It forces his opponents to either quickly and painstakingly dismantle his nonsense or make their own points. Take the first question about God and evil. 2 Kings, Isaiah, Job, Lamentations, and Amos proclaim that God is the author of evil. In fact, Isaiah 45:7 is God Himself claiming to create evil: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." There is only 1 verse in the Bible in Psalms that says explicitly that God does not create evil. So, if you believe in the Bible who are you going to believe, God or a poet? Craig chooses to believe the poet, and pretends to be a man of God, while he natters on about free will being the cause of all evil. I'm pretty sure that Craig is aware that every single one of his arguments can be easily dismantled if someone has the time to actually pay attention to what he says and has the time to do a little research. That's probably why his KZread channel has all comments disabled and no way to contact him in a discussion forum. There's also a KZread ministry he's in cahoots with that disables all the comments on his videos. Now why do you think that is? Having atheists bombard him with ill constructed arguments, misinterpreting his debate points, mocking him with childish insults would actually be good for his "ministry" and his undeserved reputation as an intellectual. But he's an intellectual coward, and knows that the second his weak arguments are shredded his reputation is shredded too.

Dave C "Craig is a moron." Aww, are you going to start out by discrediting yourself? "His arguments aren't particularly original or thought out. In fact, his daughter became an atheist after finding a monumental flaw in his rhetoric that unravels everything he ever taught her about his Christian faith." Do you have a source for that? And even assuming that she did become an atheist, what was this "monumental flaw"? Why can't *you* give it here, if it actually exists? "Take the first question about God and evil. Craig chooses to believe the poet, and pretends to be a man of God, while he natters on about free will being the cause of all evil." As WLC has said several times, one does not need to believe in biblical inerrancy and literalism to be a Christian. The Christian is free to put every single verse in the bible to one sort of test or another. Indeed, this is the basis for their faith in general! They don't read the bible and then say "Well I'm gonna start believing in god now!" Obviously, belief doesn't work that way. Instead, they usually have some sort of *testimony* to give, about alleged personal *experiences* on which they base their faith. So does Craig take up his stance on his question on the basis of *either* statement in the bible? No. He argues, instead, that evil is a "privation" rather than an object needing to be "created". Since he believes in an objective morality, he contends that evil is simply whatever doesn't adhere to that morality, and is "created" by man's free will. "I'm pretty sure that Craig is aware that every single one of his arguments can be easily dismantled if someone has the time to actually pay attention to what he says and has the time to do a little research." You mean like atheists have had for *decades* now? He even frequently *debates* the leading intellectuals on the god question. He's given anti-theists plenty of opportunity to "dismantle" his arguments, but they continue failing to do so. "That's probably why his KZread channel has all comments disabled and no way to contact him in a discussion forum." No it's probable there's another explanation for that, as he answers questions on his website and takes questions from the audience after practically every debate. "Having atheists bombard him with ill constructed arguments, misinterpreting his debate points, mocking him with childish insults would actually be good for his "ministry"" How do you figure burying *good* comments with bad ones (such as "WLC is a moron") would help *anything?* "and his undeserved reputation as an intellectual. But he's an intellectual coward, and knows that the second his weak arguments are shredded his reputation is shredded too." Again you are discrediting yourself here. You may disagree with Craig, and you may even choose to believe that he must be being dishonest in some way or another, but there is no denying the man is an intellectual. He seeks out arguments for and against the existence of god on a regular basis. He challenges himself to contend with other intellectuals who are atheists and (ideally) have prepared their arguments against him in live, public debate. That is not cowardice. *Richard Dawkins* is cowardice. WLC is 100% the opposite.

However, if Craig's interpretation is that the Bible's statement BY GOD Himself that GOD Himself creates evil is not true, then everything said by God, Jesus, the Disciples, prophets, poets and historians in the Bible is a matter of interpretation and the very Word of God as spoken by God according the Holy Bible is, in fact, only true. -should say "is, in fact, not true."

  • @Vic2point0

Dave C It doesn't follow that because *some* things in the bible are untrue, therefore *everything* in the bible is untrue. As WLC himself admits, you don't have to believe in biblical inerrancy to be a Christian. You can put everything in the bible to some sort of test. And indeed, that is reflected in Christians' testimonies. They base their belief in the Christian god on alleged personal experiences in which god "makes himself known" to them. They don't just read the bible and say, "Okay I'm going to start believing now!" BTW, is that really the only point you're left arguing, after my very lengthy reply to you?

Dave is correct. Craig is a great debater. In fact, I believe he was a championship debater in his youth according to his wikipedia page. He uses this skill in debating, and in mental gymnastics in order to make fallacious arguments about the existence of God seem genuine and believable. But none of it really stands up to scrutiny, as shown during the many times he has debated atheists, such as Sam Harris.

@@conordelaney76 Whi Braen is referring to one of God's many attributes. From what it appears, it looks like you may be taking God's attribute of love and misapplying it to other situations where other attributes of God would apply. For example, God says that he has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. In another example, after he judges the people for their sins, God mourns over them in the Bible, showing that it is necessary to deal with sin, though God is not happy when the wicked perish. Death or separation from God is not the purpose for man being created, it is the opposite, which is life and nearness to him. We also see Jesus death on the cross for the sins of the world, showing that death is necessary for sins, but that God still loves us and wants us to be reconciled to him and live. Jesus shows the bridge between the Holiness of God, the judgment of God, and the love of God. Sometimes atheists misapply the attributes of God. Some misapplications may be unintentional, but I believe some are intentional. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt. Aside from the issues of people who perish, though that is not God's will, there's a scripture that talks about two believers who are disputing among each other and suing each before secular courts, and Paul asks an interesting question, why not rather suffer yourself to be defrauded or to be done wrong (so that one can avoid engaging in sin to fight a brother, or to give a poor witness before the ungodly)? The Bible says be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. This does not mean it's God's will for a person to suffer wrong, just like it is not God's will for a servant to be mistreated by a mean ruler, but that the righteousness of the servant would be a testimony, that a person maintains integrity as a good man in the face of oppression. Finally, biblically speaking, there are two sides to the coin of morality. There is a physical or natural side, and there is a supernatural side. We only take one side into account, but God takes both sides into account. This is why we can relate to Commandments like "honor your father and mother", or "do not steal", or "do not commit adultery", but we do not relate to other commitments like "do not take the Lord's name in vain" or "honor the Sabbath". Biblically speaking, sins are not just actions that we do wrong, they have actual substance to them and are able to spread and affect/infect other things. Some things that were cursed in the Bible had to be broken or burned or destroyed simply because it was cursed or had some affiliation with demonic entities. If one is going to assess the morality of the Bible, one must understand the plane by which evil arises, including both natural and spiritually, covenant, and other relevant or legal aspects. One ought to study the Bible to gain understanding of what God's perspective would be.

I think you should approach this with a different attitude. anyway, I would like to say that it would seem it is more so the unbeliever who cherry-picks the scripture rather than the believer. If we are NOT to cherry-pick the scripture, then we must acknowledge other scriptures of the Bible that God is not pleased with the death of the wicked, that God is good, that death is God's enemy, as the scripture says. Therefore, we would have to accept verses like these and use these verses to interpret other texts by. Therefore, when we see a difficult passage, we would say that if these other verses are true, more things must be going on then that which it appears to be on the surface. The unbeliever, who may want to make God seem immoral, will ignore these verses, possibly so he can drive a conclusion to gain a justification to remain separate from him. He would be the one cherry picking the scripture. the purpose of me entering into the conversation was just to suggest that a person should read the Bible with a different set of eyes and nothing stops a person from doing so except that same person. As I said, I would like to give the benefit of the doubt that's such a person is not doing this intentionally.

Trey Patton What has your feathers so ruffled? I didn't insult the guy's intelligence. In fact, I commend him on his vast amount of knowledge. He clearly knows so many things about his favorite subject and is even able to monetize that knowledge. Smart guy! As for you, if I were to claim you're an "ignorant dumb-ass," it wouldn't have anything to do with a disagreement with the well known atheist guys you mentioned, but likely because of something else.

I'm enjoying greatly this Q&A, my brother pointed me in this direction. One issue I have, is when you get to 56:00 and he begins to talk about how Christians in Western civilization have been at the forefront in crisis relief. He nods to the Syrian crisis and refugees. However keep in mind, that statistically speaking, modern Christians in the USA are among the least likely to help and among the highest population to oppose refugees. (For various reasons not unique to Christianity for say) And I can't speak for his congregation, if they are not the norm then that's awesome to see them being good to others in need

Hi Croysha, I wonder where you get your statistics and data from? Of course, we can always do better, but I believe the US is one of the western nations doing the most in crisis relief along with Australia, Canada and Norway. There are many tens of thousands of refugees in countries such as Kenya, however this is something of a business to them. Kenya keeps these refugees in far off desert camps in which the people are not free to travel to places like Nairobi. The costs associated with these massive refugee cities are paid by the UN and international aid, not by Kenya. There is a similar situation in Thailand.
