Q&A With A Certain Ratio

Музыка

Oh, Manchester, so much to answer for. The city's original punk funkers are back after a dozen years with a new LP, only their second in almost two and a half decades. The first band to release a single on the legendary Factory label, A Certain Ratio has seen a well-deserved resurgence over the last handful of years due to the recent reissuing of its impressive back catalog. "ACR Loco" (Mute) continues to move things forward, taking the great bits from the group's storied past and giving them a modern-leaning postmodern sheen. Plus, "ACR Loco" has got a good beat, and you can dance to it. It's a wild party.

Love these guys. Force is still one of my favourite albums of all time and one of best to come out of Factory Records. Much better than New Order's Brotherhood, which came out a few months before it.

Agreed…I saw them open for new order in Boston and ACR STOLE that show…so much so that new order skulked off the stage in about 20 minutes

Still a great band after all these years. Heard Lucinda in Forbidden Planet in the early 80s and was hooked.

I’ve never seen anyone throw a full beer can to a musician in anger though;). Catch and open;)

It is hard to believe they were into Punk music, but when I saw them play in Manchester 1991, they was blowing whistles 🎷 & got booed off Rubbish
