Build the light rail first. It should be the main priority

Amen. And if they need to cut it down, the subway needs to be built first. That'll allow far cheaper extensions in the future.
That is ridiculous. It should not be taking them that long and that much to complete public transportation. So many other countries can do it for so much cheaper and a fraction of the time. Why all the paper pushing and red tape. It’s like waving a bone in a dogs face and never giving them the bone.

In other countries, you can literally demolish apartments, businesses, houses etc and no one can do anything about it. Also in those countries, workers are essentially public slaves. Barely making $1/day.

@@siamimam2109 what are on about, the government can use eminent domain to get the necessary land they need for the project. For the most part it’s the citizens who end up suing the project to stop it from being built

why are public transport projects in the USA always so difficult. The Federal Government should just fund it and build it.
0:56 are you freaking kidding me? public transit is something you can't shortcut in design or leaving something off the table, or it doesn't work properly
That is a great job on this informative & interesting investigative news story. That is a great job on this informative and interesting Q&A.
I would encourage you both to go deeper into this development and get more information on why such a long period. What are they referencing as complications to justify such delays and expenses! 🧐

@@siamimam2109 Shouldn’t. Once we had voted to expand the light rail and add 2 lines in Houston, they got to work. Took years but it’s nice having now. Ain’t no way we would have had over a million downtown without them trains for the World Series 😂
It’s freakin’ Austin; They have to study the birds 🦅, bees 🐝 and butterflies 🦋 first.

Or make womens locker rooms safe spaces for men 👰🏻♂️
Best case would be to dig underground along IH 35 and connect RoundRock to Slaughter Ln. Maybe phase out the project in stages. I can guarantee you a lot of people will ride that during rush hr
