John, I had a 2002 Softail Deuce, Vance & Hines Big Radius exhaust, upgraded the gears from the stock set up. Drag bars with 4” risers, lowered 2” in the back, 175mm Metzler on the rear. I gotta tell you, bought it new, put more than 64,000 miles on it with road trips all over Colorado, up & down the California coast down to Ensenada, MX and back... I had several days riding 500, 540 miles under my belt and that bike always road like a dream. I loved the raked front end, forward controls, never really noticed a drawback with the tank size. I loved the look of today’s Breakout, for the raked front end, drag bar options, all similar to the old Deuce, but I couldn’t stand the thought of that 240mm on the back, or I would have bought it with the V Twin... (not a fan of the M8). I’ve talked to several guys with the Breakout, and they all say the same thing... rides rough, and pushes in the turns; not a bike they enjoy riding any further than to pick up the mail. Are there any similar dimensions between the Breakout and the Deuce? How far a part are they? If I could buy a Breakout with a 200mm or smaller, I think I’d buy one... thoughts (sorry so long winded).

Hey john I was glad to see in your last video that Clay is doing better. I've followed him and his dad on facebook and been watching his recovery. With this "c word" stuff going around we have had some time to think about changes on our channel and with the help of some of your videos I think I have a decent set up for some vlogging and got a webcam now to do some live streams. Still working on a perch mount and having a hard time finding a decent one that would show me and the wife. I like the one you have at 26:13 but not sure the brand on that...never seen it. Anyway..I wanted to thank you for the help. Stay safe out there!

I own a 2018 Harley Davidson Breakout. I love it total round trip mile about 750 . Drove it from Harlingen, Texas to Fredricksburg, Texas spent some time in the Hill country. 240 tire in the back no problem to turn or lean yes there are bikes that turn easier but dont agree with anyone that complains about the breakout or Fatboy rear tire. I think the real dilemma is where to carry stuff if you go for a long haul ride. Great video John.

The rider triangle is critical on the new Softails. I went from a 2011 Dyna FXDC which was a perfect fit to a 2018 Lowrider. The rider triangle on the Lowrider just never felt right. I tried a Talboy seat which helped but seemed to mess with the CG. I had forward pegs installed which made a big difference but the Tallboy seat still felt strange. I moved to a Badlander which corrected the CG problem but was not as comfortable as a Badlander on a Dyna. I am 5' 10" with a 34" inseam which may account for my problems with the new Softails. It seems like they are designed for shorter riders with a more compact rider triangle. Next step was the Mustang Day Tripper which seemed to solve all the problems I had with the Softail Rider Triangle. So, any information on the Softail Rider Triangle would be greatly appreciated. It may save riders with my problem some expense. Thanks for the great videos and information.

Tell Ray HD is not going out of business. I bought a 2016 RdKg when i retired. I've been riding since 1965. Plan on getting a Pan American as a backup. I ride with local hog group here in seminole cty florida. 97 members most who are over 60. A lot who have bought new bikes in the last year. It's our support that will keep HD alive! Surley not mellinials. Saw all the new bikes harley is making at Daytonna bike week. Great crowds. HD had the largest display. They had 20 livewires for test rides. Things will get normal again. Be safe.

Do you have any experience with the new Ciro wireless charger? I have the other Ciro charging mount and ive hated it from day 1. it doesnt stay in place and it fried my charger port. Ciro wasnt helpful at all. Thanks John. you rock. Alexander NC in the house!

I have a 19 RGS, looking at doing 14" apes (Siouxcide chopper brand). Wanted to know if a cable kit from HD is required and just saw a Ciro3d Cyber Charger phone charger, looking at adding that to the bars afterwords. Suggestions?
