I can’t wait for the eye colour video! Could you expand it to include matching/clashing with clothing? I mean if you have green eyes you suit purple eyeshadow BUT on the day I’m wearing a red top.....it won’t look great....do you get what I’m trying badly to ask?! You are so cute!! I'm SO glad you enjoyed this!! When I did my first round of editing, it was just slightly over an hour.....I shaved and sliced as much out as I could and still ended up over 56 minutes! But I'm so glad you felt like it moved along and I didn't bore you to tears!😂💖

Great video, thank you! I completely agree with Tweezerman as being a great eyelash curler. I have used eyelash curlers since highschool and am now 66. I have paid from $5 to $28 for different eyelash curlers and by far Tweezerman works the best for me.

Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed this video!💕 I too have super oily eyelids....the best cream eyeshadows I've found so far, are the SuperShock Shadows from ColourPop (these come in a pot), the Ulta Beauty brand Cream Eye Shadow & Liner (stick form) or the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks. I would still recommend putting on an eyeshadow primer first but these all stay put really well all day. I'm planning a cream eyeshadow look soon...stay tuned!🤗

Thank you, Sharalee! Your videos have given me so many tips, so much advice. I’m 75 and discovered your channel during rehab from surgeries that left my fine motor skills, among others, in need of all your hair and makeup. I now have an undercut.pixie which no longer takes me 2 hours to style (late for church much?). I’m now needing help with eye makeup. Color, concealer, etc., never sure what brands work best for me or how to apply products for maximum effect. What brushes? When to use fingers, brushes,sponges. I have green eyes and very few wrinkles. How do I know if I have hooded eyes? I don’t work, so I don’t want to break the bank or spend so much time practicing. I’m sure I saw the video that has drawn all these comments, but I don’t know how to access it again to save it. Thanks for sharing your beauty knowledge with others.

Very good advice! I was just thinking that In Bloom by Tarte & Buxom shadows have satiny shades that never go strange on my 63 year old eyes. Ditto MAC singles. And tap dancing the concealer on.

Again, love getting to know you and what your preferences are. I look forward every week to your videos! Question: I use face primer and eye primer and the Paint pots, but I swear, my face and eyes must suck in my makeup throughout the day. I leave the house in the morning looking polished, but come home after work later looking like I’ve been through the spin cycle! My eyeshadow has gotten muddy and sometimes eyeliner smudged throughout the day. I also “eat” any lip product on my mouth! SOS! What am I doing wrong or what am I not doing that would extend the life of my makeup? Any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated 😌

Oh dear! Ok, we'll get this figured out😘 First of all, what primers are you using on your face and eyes? Do you allow them to completely set before applying your foundation and your eyeshadow? What foundation and powder do you use? What eyeshadows are you using? For lips, have you ever tried a liquid lipstick? I know many can be very drying but the Kat Von D ones wear amazingly well and don't make your lips feel like shriveled raisins😜 There are setting sprays that many "swear" by.....Urban Decay "All Nighter" is one. I don't have particularly good luck with them but SO many others do. If we can't improve on the other products you're using, the setting spray might be the thing to try. Don't worry....we'll find a solution for you💕

Sharalees Box Of Chocolates , I have normal to dry skin and hydrate and moisturize daily, then after it dries down, I typically use Mally’s Perfect Prep primer or Smashbox Photo Finish. I’ve tried the Revlon Photoready primer and the Tarte clean slate. On my eyes I use eitherSmashbox 24 hour photo finish, Too Faced Shadow Insurance or the Ulta Matte primer. I have more varieties of foundation than I know what to do with. You’d think I have a KZread channel, but I keep searching for My holy grail products that will just perform flawlessly. So I have a lot of products!! Foundations: EL Double wear, ABH Luminous Foundation, iT CC cream and Confidence in a Compact and LOreal infallible pro glow ( which I really like!). I also mix in the Kick- A** All day wear from Soap and Glory. Eyeshadows: Makeup geek, Tarte, Too Faced, Buxom,Lorac Pro, and iT. I have tried Wet and Wild, but I just don’t have a lot of luck with them. UD shadows are too Powdery.I have great brushes- bdellium, Sigma, Sedona Lace, iT, and Sephora. Plus, I do use a setting spray- Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1. I do think you are right about the UD All-nighter being great. I just think my skin sucks my makeup in during the day! 😱. I do work long days- put makeup on at 5:30 am and generally don’t get home from work until 5:00 pm. I should clarify- I can tell makeup is still on my skin when I remove it at night- it just looks dull and muddy by mid- day- eyeshadow not as crisp and colorful and blush appears “worn”

@@sharipalm8400 Ok, so now that I've had several days to "chew" on this, I may have a game plan for you😘 You are right, you do use really good products. So, I think the secret lies in the combination. When you mentioned that you use the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 setting spray, all of a sudden I had an idea. That setting spray is completely water based. However, the primers and foundations you use are all silicone based. Therefore, that water based spray is just going to melt your powder products on top of your foundation but it's not going to mesh with your foundation or primer. This can also affect your eyeshadow performance if you are spraying this over your whole face and eye area. To test this theory, try using one primer (whichever is your fav from the list you gave me) and the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow foundation. Set it with powder (not sure if you use a setting powder?) but don't use a setting spray. See if that makes any difference regarding the dullness/muddiness. Trial 2 would be to do the same but add the UD All Nighter setting spray. Trial 3 would be to skip a primer (yes, can be scary but with your dry skin, you might be surprised to learn you don't need it) and then add foundation and maybe the UD all nighter. Also, on your eyes, do you apply any moisturizer on your upper lids before applying primer? Skip that if you do and just apply it under the eyes in the morning. Also, don't use a concealer on your eyelids either as that can also contribute to creasing. Let me know how this goes!

Yes, that is so frustrating!! Trust me, I've been there, looking like I'm ready for Halloween😳 I think stylists are trained with such an aversion to high volume bleach.....but if they know what they are doing and keep an eye on the foils, your hair can take it!

Another great video, I really enjoy these. I do use Maskcara beauty cream IIID foundation and my dry, 59 year old skin loves it. Happy Valentine's Day❤

Yes! Try using a little bit of the MAC Paint Pot on your nose first before adding foundation. If you're not familiar with the MAC Paint Pot, it's meant to be an eyeshadow base but if you choose a shade that is close to your skin tone (Soft Ochre, Painterly, Groundwork, etc.) you can use it like a primer on your nose or around your lips to help foundation stick better. Truly just Colgate Optic White Advanced Whitening Toothpaste 2x per day. Then when I want extra whitening, I'll use the Listerine Healthy White Mouthwash😁

I've done a few makeovers on more mature ladies....if you haven't seen those videos, they might work better for you😘 As for moisturizer, what is your skin type? Dry or oily? That will make a difference as to my recommendations.
