Climate, windy. pack wind tight clothing. Winter, pack long-johns. What to buy when arvinge. Hygienics. Soap, shower-gel. Razors if you use them. Bed is most often not a problem. 200 euro should cover a cheap bed + beddings second hand if you end up renting un-furnished. (just ask your fellow students, gotlanders are very helpful) Sport possibilities. (that i personally know about) Would be Archery, Swimming, riding, Hockey, soccer, Motorcross. January February = excellent time to focus on studies. "Is it easy to make friends" Swedish people are fairly social (tho fairly private) making friends is "fairly" easy as long as one is showing respect for privacy and attempt to learn the social structure. "eating out and shoping" MC donalds is open til midnight. And shopping... it closes around 18:00. (6pm) Transportation,. The price is.. okay... but the public transport times are... not optimal for anything beyond "leisure" not reliable for work...
