Hey Jessica! Thanks for answering insightful questions! I was wondering what your day to day looks like? As a software developer, do you code for the whole day like 8 hours a day straight, or is it a mix of meetings, collaborating with other developers on ideas and other things?

I’ve been an ICU nurse for 6 years now and have went back and forth about going for more schooling to become either an NP or CRNA school, but the idea of being at the hospital is so dreadful for me, personally. I’m taking the leap of faith & planning to sign up for a bootcamp!

I would say to just start creating side projects in the languages you want to work in! That way you can talk about your work in your interview (or even something for them to look at when you first apply)

Were you ever looking into any other fields before taking the position as a software engineer?

Hi Jessica, very inspiring video! I’m transitioning in my career and are considering joining a bootcamp. Coding dojo sounds interesting but I’m struggling with how expensive these bootcamps can be.
