For a chemo cap, could be made with one side flannel for some warmth. Good for cool spring weather? Also linen or rayon? I was thinking about what would feel good next to the skin in different seasons.

I absolutely love this cap! Thank you for this stylish pattern. I'm making some for my daughter who is a nurse and she so appreciates them. I may have found a little short cut for anyone who hates threading things through casings as much as I do. I thread the elastic through the casing before attaching the ties. Then I wiggle the ends of the ties back into the casing after attaching the elastic and stitch everything in place.

I made 5 of these today. I love them. I actually figured out to tie the ties over the elastic to smooth it if my hair is in a higher bun. I use these as prayer coverings! And since I might pray at any time, I wear something all day. This cap is prettier than just a kerchief. And if I feel very old fashioned, I can tie the ties under my chin. ...and because it’s hard to be perfect, I make my opening for turning on the front seam but at one side , not center, so if my closing is wobbly, it will be on the side of my face by my ear. Thank you so much Laura

I currently wear caps that have elastic all around--like a shower bonnet--but these look like they'll be more comfortable to wear for the 3 hours that I leave the color on my hair.)

Thank you, Laura! When I saw this I just had to sew one, so I did make one. Then I wanted a lighter weight one so I figured out how to make it unlined. It turned out great! It’s a little more work to make it unlined but will be so much cooler in the summer! Thank you, again!

I made one several days ago for my terrible horrible no good very bad hair days. During this time of sheltering, I'm not going out much and don't see others, so it's nice to take a day off "fixing hair." I would have loved this pattern during my year of chemo. Wigs were often hot, uncomfortable and didn't feel right. My head scarves were rather stylish, but this one is number one. Thank you so much for such a lovely and easy idea. I will be making some for other Cancer patients. We might lack hair for awhile, but we can look great. And when we look great, it impacts how we feel.
