Choose the language which you understand, there are plenty of Python Automation JOBS IN MARKET

There are more opportunities in java + selenium , we all talk about that but there is very high competition as well.. no one talk about this. Python + selenium has less opportunities and less competition as well

I wanted to switch into IT as a software tester. Which language should I learn? Python or java. Since I am switching my career I will have to start with manual testing. So is it better to learn python? It is easy and will take less time to learn.

you just need to take research and watch the market un your country. Automation isn't hard at least if it's ui e2e tests. Rest api testing also easy.

Only lazy fellows like me learn python.

Java is the language you use if you want to be a clever show off programmer. Python is the language you use if you want to get shit done. And Rust is the language of the future and it’s not OO.
