Hi sir, need some advice, in june I will be completing my 2 years of experience in IT, I completed my big data internship in my current employer but never got a chance to work in a project having any of the tools from the big data toolkit. I got tagged to informatica project .got some flavours of development. Now working in a prod support project for the same. With self learning and certifications would i be able to move out from this and pursue a more advanced data engineering career? I asked to a senior and he advised if i am going to move to a new technology or tool set then I have to fake my these project experiences. Is it really the case?

You Can choose any cloud technology Like Azure , AWS , GCP If you have ETL knowledge and experience then you can choose data engineering field With SQL + Pyspark Skills combination You can choose Any one or two skills 1) Snowflake 2) Databricks 3) Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric

Snowflake is Cloud based data warehouse Databricks is primarily designed and developed for big data engineering ( Hybrid ETL + ELT) process and same data bricks can be used for advanced analytics like ( machine learning , data science and deep learning ) Databricks + delta lake combination we can design and develop end to end big data data engineering project and advanced analytics project
