Isnt the phoenix Mavuika herself? She transformed into her human form when she reached Capitano. Plus whenever she uses flames there is that cyan color as well. We got Kiara's mom before Kaveh rerun goddamn

I think that, for some reason, Rie Tanaka couldn't do the voice acting and they've searched for someone that have a voice that matches Himeko's tone, similar to Bronya's voice in CN Star Rail, or similar to Natasha's case or Al Haitham.

I think Mavuika is not directly a counterpart to himeko, she looks more like one of the stigmata in HI3. Probably the counterpart to himeko was the first pyro archon, but as the current archons are always similar and have certain connections with the previous ones there must be this similar but still "different" appearance.

Natlan is more likely based on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Hoyo hasn't explicitly stated they'll base it on Africa/South America.

@@Ishakai_ its a chinese game wat do u expect. They wont put that much melanin on characters ever, ig except Iansan she seems to have a much darker skin tone than everyone else. I have given up at this point too. If they could they could have even put muscle on Dehya or even Xilonen and made them darker, and make them look like Miruko or Ghislaine type of girl. The dark skinned muscle mommies that we never got in genshin 😭 WHERE IS THE MUSCULAR WAIFU MODEL TYPE MAN. They dont even use the big muscular model they use for blacksmiths for male characters either. Robbery at its finest man (looking at u Itto)

it took me a while to really get into it and see if i can hear rie tanaka tbh, she sounded very alike!!

i genuinely do not believe that mavuika is a himeko variant, there's no reason for hoyo to not double cast tanaka rie, as they've done that very thing a couple times already (nahida and qiqi share JP va, xingqiu and bennett share EN va)

pretty sure himeko HAS BEEN dead in this universe as murata was the first pyro archon, so mavuika being her daughter or similar makes sense

Rie Tanaka already voiced Lisa in this game, that is why I have low expectation for Himeko expy to be exist in Genshin except she voiced 2 character, similiar to ZZZ case where Marina Inoue already voiced Zhu Yuan so have low expectation for Elysia expy exist in the game, even I wish there is their expy in the game. In Genshin we did get Kugimiya Rie who voiced Unknown God where exactly Kiana expy even have same ahoge, and Miyuki Sawashiro who voiced Raiden Shogun where is Mei expy, and there is a big chance if Tsaritsa will be Bronya expy since Asumi Kana still not voicing any character in Genshin btw lol Naruto and Sasuke, Chitoge and Tsugumi 😆

Mavuika isn't a Himeko expy. While they look similar, they don't share the same JPN and CN VA (i checked sadly 🥲) also no iconic beauty mark on her... Yknow? That makes her kinda original, like Furina and Zhongli. Now i wonder whether or not Tsaritsa is gonna be another original character or Bronya Expy 🤔

Pyro Archon is already dead if u remember thou in manga. The biker women isn't the Pyro Archon i can gurantee that thou. The Natlan AQ Incandescent Ode of Resurrection Incandescent means emitting light Ode means address to a particular subject which is the original Pyro Archon will be Resurrect. Eyes well other charactrs are there that do have unique pupils but few take Al Haitham as an example. I really want her to be Pyro Archon but deep down i know she isn't and that's why i am disappointed but every other characters are cool as heck.

About the "diversity" takes, I'd respect your opinion, thou I cannot agree with it. At the moment Natlan features 7 characters and 3 of them have dark skin. While if you look at the "Natlan Preview Teaser - Need a Hand?" only 1 out of the 3 enemies are dark skin. So the statement that "They are more keen to putting darker skin on enemy..." is not true at this moment. If you want to compare it with Sumeru, Sumeru has a cast of 13 characters and only 4 of them have dark skin. Not to mention the fact that those 4: Candace, Deyha, Sethos, and Cyno are desert-based so it fits the dark skin tone. For the only humanoid enemy - "Eremites", the name itself is enough for us to know that they are also desert based, enough to explain why all of them have dark skin, not because it's "keen to". So by comparison, Natlan's cast already has more diversity than Sumeru's. In short, I am totally fine with this ratio of dark skin characters in this cast, and to be honest I don't really care if this ratio changes in the future because it's not my place to represent other cultures/races to have this critique. And at the end of the day, I play this game to separate myself from reality, not to nitpick and bring irl topic back into the game to ruin my joy and immersion. Dark skin or not if it's hot/cute, I pull, simple as it is.

very based take tbh - just wanted to voice out some of my thoughts that's it. at the end of the day - it's just a game to enjoy and immerse ourselves from the cruel reality and hardships of life! no need to be so serious, and just enjoy the game as how you'd like it :) thank you for respecting my opinion, i've heard everyone's takes and they are all valid - no right or wrong, just different interpretations based on what we're exposed to (be it media or life experiences etc). all in all, i agree with you - if hot/cute, i pull, simple!

On the subject of skin colour, I don't care about any skin colour, and I tend to agree with Hoyoverse. Taking inspiration from something doesn't mean literally copying everything, and that's fine. As an example that many people probably don't know, there has never been a female Shogun in Japan because they had another title BUT Genshin gave Ei /Makoto (Raiden) that title. If we follow your logic, we should never have had female shogun in Genshin? Why is it only the skin colour that bothers you? Why don't we complain about 50/50 for the gender of the archons (male and female)? Why don't we do the same for the fatuis? Outside of Genshin, one of the greatest films of recent decades: Avatar (James Cameron) was inspired by a culture very similar to that of Africans and South Americans, and yet it didn't bother anyone at the time that literally ALL THE PEOPLE WERE BLUE! Why do some people today try to put people in boxes based on : race, gender, religion or politics? It's a FICTIONAL art (movies, games, and co ), let's just enjoy it. I'm a black student and I downloaded this game to play Raiden (I'm her first simp), I never needed her to have dark skin or to be a male to identify with her. Like every boy, I'm a big fan of Son Goku, I never needed him to be black either. I don't and will never judge a artwork (movie, game, ...) based on gender, race or politics. And for those who insist on skin colour, of course there are black people who want to be represented but there are also black people like me who don't care and leave it in the hands of the game/creator. And sometimes when I hear people crying "there's not enough of this or that", I feel like a pokemon that racists are trying to collect. It's like Sacha going on a pokemon hunt and saying I " need a BLACK one". Enjoy the game and summon those you love most. (edit : I'll probably not see any replies since I will mute the channel , knowing how toxic and loud some genshin player can be)

All I'm saying is I don't need to see someone who has the same skin color as me to be able to like them, but if they're going to use names from a certain culture, and even other aspects like food and music yet they vehemently avoid really basic features like simple skin color then that's not okay. Idk, they all looks so not-Genshin-stile. If you told me what Archon just some racer from HSR I would trust. Let's be honest, Genshin setting sucks. It is too limited by the framework of the Middle Ages, while ZZZ and HSR can push anything and it will look organic. Boy with pixelated 2D monster and tight modern suit on the archon only shows that they are worn out. Remember Final Feast and look at this... The characters shown, the atmosphere of mystery, while here we have a hodgepodge of colors and a filler tournament arch.

@@bfff854 @hojokarens uh oh... relax guys!! it's fine to have opinions, i'm also one to understand that characters need their own characterisation and sometimes being expys/variants can get a tad boring + would be nice to have brand new ones!! i'm fine with mavuika being her own character! and it'd be an added bonus if she has anything related to himeko :) regardless, i WILL be pulling for mavuika LOL

​@@bfff854It's doesn't hurt to acknowledge some characters to be the expy of previous game.. but in genshin there are no direct expy like what they do on star rail, so yesh your opinion has a point..
