Pyramids before and after (Then vs Now)

Ойын-сауық

This video will show you historic photos of Pyramids around the world when they were discovered/rediscovered and compare them to what they look like now in this before and after comparison video.
It's quite dramatic to see Pictures of the Pyramids then and now and just how much work has gone into excavating and restoring these historical monuments.

Incredible video, it's the first time i see how they looked like before excavation, now I'm wondering how many times have I looked at a hill/mountain when it is actually a pyramid. Now I will never look at them in the same way. Thank you for this 🙏🏻

That's exactly what I was just thinking. I had to keep rewinding and was thinking at first the they were reversed as in like we didn't care about or take care of them so earth took them back but then realized it was the opposite. So now I'm wondering how in the hell did someone find all of these if they looked like regular foothills before, why there were trees and shrubbery growing on them (they're made of rock so how long did it take for earth to consume them and turn them into more natural like looking places and how many places throughout the world are there amazing pieces of our history that we walk/drive by everyday and not realize that the discovery of a lifetime is literally only a few feet under the dirt.

Archaeology is fact and theory based, so that is absolutely possible. No dating method is fully accurate, the best ones are a collection of methods including science, architectural style and historical records, but a lot of the time there are limited ways to date a place.

And the sea. Most population centers today are on the coastlines. Why would that have been different in antiquity, before the season reached the current level? We are finding evidence of terrestrial human activities and habitations 250-300 feet down on the continental shelves. Imagine what discoveries the next 100y hold in store!

How long was it buried like that before it was uncovered? Not a hundred years, not five hundred years, or even a thousand years. It takes eons to be covered like that and grow brush and trees. The shape may have been there all along but for a path to form on the side where cattle graze is a wonder.

A violent solar maximum (a natural solar event that occurs c. every 13000 years) and a related magnetic pole switch is the most likely event to have bought an end to civilisation across the globe, and to have caused sufficiently large movements of mud to bury pyramids and vast areas of land. In a sense, given the nature of such an event, the amazing thing is that so many of these ancient structures still remain standing, unlike almost anything else. It suggests that ancient people had highly developed skills and structures, and probably that they knew what was coming.

Some of these simply were not a before and after of the same structure. If they were, the pictures were not taken from the same angle or they were rebuilt almost completely. The last one, governor's palace, they look nothing alike at all. The left one has vertical columns that are just non-existant on the right picture. These may very well be the same sites but without pictures from similar angles a lot of these simply aren't the same thing. Tazumal has a block on the right pic (white on right side at top of steps) that clearly sticks up past the dirt to it's horizontal left where in the left picture there is a full row of blocks the same size. The dirt in the right pic just doesn't show any of those blocks that should be poking through the dirt. Again this might be due to extreme rebuilding but I just find it hard to believe some of these pics to be real.
