Nice to see him back with a bang. I lost quite a bit with Highfield Princess, but Pyledriver got it back for me.

Let's hope he stays sound this season.

Probably my favourite horse in training.Super talented and a bit crazy but I love him.

pyledriver lost twice to the much maligned serpentine! mishrif & lord north were also beaten once each by the former derby winner, now running in australia, having won a race there recently!!

I remember when this horse started he won a big race and people thought it was a fluke, but he has proven himself to be a really really quality horse and will definitely be a good sire he has a fantastic attitude and likes a fight, he doesn't look like a gaillello and wouldn't take anyone's eye out with his looks but he is a top quality horse.

A messy finish but it hard to argue against the best horse won, Pyledriver looks possible to win a second King George.

Pyledriver very good horse, underrated in my book, was going to back Hukum, so got 9/2 for a good horse, bit of a gamble fitness wise , but showed its class👍

Loves Ascot and he had beaten horses none of this field had. Was a very good value bet.

Pyledriver great horse would have won other races without swerving .

Some racing pundit on paddy power said pyledriver was useless, shows what they know

I take my hat off to Mr. Muir for the patience and belief he's always had in him. He's not the easiest to ride and he did come in on Aidans horse but he would have won by further if he stayed straight. Love Pyledriver and thought he looked a million dollars today

@SueMaher Absolutely, probably just a little tiered and feeling the ground but would have been a clear cut winner if he hadn't have hung in, and it was a good bit of training by Muir after the horse had been of the track for the best part of a year.

@@nightowl7459 Some training performance he was so emotional and bursting with pride. Pyledriver is one of those horses u love to see win a character too. He won that fair and square Changingoftheguards race was over he wouldn't have caught Pyledriver

@@suemaher5282 That's true, Changingoftheguards ran well but he was beaten when Pyledriver hampered him a little, I don't think that Pyledriver really got the credit he deserved in last year's King George, he came of a good pace to win it.

@@suemaher5282 He is on his day, hopefully he will turn up well at Ascot next time? And it was very sad about Canute, I saw him getting pulled up and was hoping it was just a minor injury, didn't realise it wa a fatality, this is the side of the sport I don't like.

Tough colt, but I think he could potentially be over his head against the field lining up for this year's King George with the likes of Auguste Rodin, King of Steel, Hukum, Emily Upjohn, Luxembourg, & Westover, among others declared to run, IMO. That being said, I really like this horse, and if he didn't run another step for the rest of his career he'd have quite a creditable resume' that would read wins in the G1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes & G1 Coronation Cup, and came awfully close to winning the G1 Hong Kong Vase, along with G2 wins in the King Edward VII Stakes, Great Voltigeur Stakes, & Hardwicke Stakes. No shame in Pyledriver's game whatsoever.

Why is there so much wandering in the straight? Is there a camber at Ascot just like at Epsom?

Horse's often veer to the right in the closing stages. How often do you see them veer to the left?. Although Pyledriver did try that last year in the King George kzread.info/dash/bejne/dHtkksuCqZu8gNo.html

Certainly it was interference, but you know a winner will only be disqualified if the victim of interference finishes a close second. The jockey should be penalized of course.

You don't change the result every time there is interference.There was a stewards enquiry for that very reason but the chance of the second and third winning was probably about 10-15% So you can't reverse a result if the winner wins by 1 and a half lengths and the others had a slim chance of winning.

What a surprise, a horse that was 18/1 won again at 7/2, and NO ACTION FROM FRANKIE AT ALL TO GET THE WINNER, WHAT KIND OF CURSE IS THIS??

I think it’s ridiculous jockeys don’t get penalised a lot more for interferences. Pyledriver should of not kept that race. Ridiculous

Behave yourself.The best horse won the race.Yes he swerved but the jockey wasn't to blame and he won by a length and a half going away.

Pyledriver is totally underrated in my opinion look at the horses he,s beaten time and again he,s obviously quirky and delicate fair play to the owners persevering and keeping him in training Godolphin, Coolmore, Shadwell, juddmonte etc would of packed him off to some stud and with his unfashionable pedigree he,d get mediocre màres to cover he,s timeform rating is wrong he,s a mid 130,s all day long , He,s beat proven top drawer group 1 horses Arc winner, Saudi Cup winner, irish derby and coronation cup winners he,ll take some beating in the King George when he bids to defend his crown , i don.t think the classic winners in this 3yr old crop are top drawer contractors , .. if they can keep him sound he.ll win the k8ng george and the arc..
