Nejat, a successful single father, raises his daughter Mahira alone after his wife Aylin leaves. Nejat invents stories about Aylin's absence, telling Mahira she's working on social projects in Africa. As Mahira begins school and questions about her mother intensifies, Nejat recalls a promise he made to Mahira years ago that Aylin would return on her sixth birthday. Meanwhile, Suna, aiming to reopen her late mother's pastry shop, faces financial troubles. Nejat, searching for a filming location, crosses paths with Suna. Misunderstandings arise, leading to Suna spending the night at Nejat's house. The next day, Mahira mistakes Suna for her mother, and a complex web of lies unfolds as they navigate the unexpected situation.
