Sunder (Govinda) comes from his village to the big city and finds it difficult to adjust with the society people around him. While struggling hard to get settled in city he accidently befriends an NRI, Payal Khurana (Rani Mukerji). Payal was undertaking classical dance training where she had to understand the expressions of mentally challenged people and learn how do they convey their emotions through their expressions. Payal is under the impression that Sunder is deaf and mute. She genuinely helps the boy out and takes him to Dr. S. Puri (Om Puri) to assist him get his voice back. Sunder keeps mum as he realizes that he is in love with Payal. Will Payal understand Sunder's love for her?

Overall a nice sweet movie but totally ruined by the sad ending. Sad endings are also okay when required. But this was totally not required and really depressing to an extent💔💔💔
I cried like a million times watching this movie. Govinda aur Rani, donon ki acting kamaal hai! But pyaar mein insaan ko itna bhi pagal nahi hona chahiye. Pehle se sach bolo, saaf mann se jeeyo.
