You have not mentioned dielectric loss part which is more in pvc cable. It is a major factor for cable selection where cable length is high say more than 400mtrs.

You said that XLPE cables are used for HT application because of high bearing current capacity, but in HT application value of current is low then LT application

Most of the HT Motors have full load current more than 200A. Most of the LT Motors FLC is less than 200A.
