Thanks for your kind words! This project turned out better than I expected, many people like it and as you point out, it is standing up well to the test of time.

I believe they do make some commercial stuff they you can roll out and steak down. For your planes with really small wheels you can fabricate a launching runway from card board. The two sides of a plane box, cut out and taped end to end will give you an 8' x 3' runway. Good enough to launch, but good luck landing on it! :)

Best design I've seen so far. I'm surprised there aren't a lot more views & comments. Very well done video, great instructions. I just got a Reptile S800 V2 wing. I just can't get it to launch by doing the wing tip throw and there is no where else to hold it safely and I'm not going anywhere near the prop when the setup is live. Trying to throw the wing and get to the controls in time is ridiculous. Thanks for the vids!

Thanks for your kind words. Sometimes when you design and build a project, it comes out even better than you expected. This was one of those times. This is my most popular video right now with 2463 views. You will really enjoy watching the plane come off the rails. Have fun and fly safely!

Hiya Dan! Ive recently decided that I need a launcher so that I can simply and safely launch my flying wings, including my own Skyfun. Ive watched dozens of ways to build them but I really like how you built yours....so, that's how I've done mine. Thanks very much for taking the time to share your launcher build!

Glad you like it! It is the kind comments like yours that keeps me making these silly videos. Be sure to watch the pedal mechanism also.

i did watch your video for the pedal mechanism. I did build a pedal mechanism that is similar to yours but had some differences. My 4 year old daughter helped me test out the bungee, the launcher, and the pedal mechanism yesterday. Everything works perfectly! Have a great weekend buddy!!

Ian, this has been so long ago, I can not remember. But watch my second video on the pedal launcher. It came from Hobby King, its 10 mm and however long the roll was. I have not used mine in a long time, but this is great fun if you have a place to use it.

Dated response, but I've always thought old conveyor belt would make a good runway...never tried though.
