Hello, I am also an operator, the places where you install the pump are really risky and require experience, congratulations on doing this job worthy of this work.

thanks for showing this type of job, we don't have any high-rise construction where I live, so very interesting.

Always fascinates me how concrete pumping work can vary from one region to the next. We as operators can be seasoned veterans in our own territory, but travel 12 hours in any direction and we’re essentially once again rookies. Thank you for commenting brother.

Another awesome video! I have only done one high rise tower, and we blew out from the top down into a mixer. Same set up, diverter valve over to the blow out line, and into the mixer with a ball catcher at the end. Man, if BC wasn’t so expensive to live in general I would consider moving there to pump. You guys are doing all kinds of cool stuff.

That’s the biggest challenge out here. Operators making nearly the same money living in regions where cost of living is half of what it is here in Vancouver. The draw of “big city living” has become less and less in recent years. Thank you so much for the comments 🙏

Has been a staple in our fleet. We were admittedly skeptical when we first got in back in 2014 as it was one of the first of the “lightweight revolution”, but since day one it’s been an absolute workhorse.

36M is a great size pump to run. The big machines can definitely present an entirely new set of challenges. I’ve found that regardless of boom length, the pump is seemingly always 20’ short of reach 😂

As much as guys like to talk about the "good old days", todays Putzmeister lineup is in my opinion, the best it's ever been. The Ergo. 2.0 control system to me was a bit of a setback, but they have addressed all issues and then some with their new version "Ergo. 3.0". Can't wait to get my hands on one!

You had mentioned older Putzmeisters had heavier booms that didn’t bounce as much. What year were those? Thanks

We have a 2008 model year 58-5 which is an absolute rock in comparison to our 2015 model year 56Z. The 56Z can be smooth as well, it just requires the operator to be more mindful of pumping speed, slump of the concrete, boom position, etc... All that being said, by far the most stable boom I have ever operated is our 2017 model year 38-5.

Spoke with another outfit local to us running the identical machine and they have seen the same thing very periodically. First time we have ever experienced it ourselves and quite surprising since we have pushed this machine much harder (74 stories) than we did on this particular pour.
