Hi! That's so cool, unfortunately there isn't much of a scene where I live. I'm actually taking a trip to England in a few months so it's great to hear that punk is still doing pretty good over there :)

Yeah man, my friend is friends with a local club owner and together they put on a punk gig every few months and they attract so many punks from neighbouring cities, it's great.

Youve got some thin hair to do it that quickly it takes me 20 minutes, but mine is also pretty freakin tall so i guess that plays a role

Thank you! I actually do backcomb it sometimes, usually just depends on how long my hair is at the time. 2 feet of hair definitely would be quite a challenge!

i straighten my hair with some heat protectant at night, put sea salt spray in, go to bed, tease and hairspray to the appropriate height and boom mohawk af

Its so hard to get mine even. My hair seems super thin and nearly impossible to get gaps out. Youve got alot more hair to deal with though.

Sorry for the late reply, but I believe my hair was about 6 or 7 inches long at the time of this video :)

Tip- use Elmer's school glue. MAKE SURE ITS WASHABLE. Just the plain white WASHABLE school glue.

Honestly I didn't add any other product to achieve this look, my hair is quite thick and I think that helps a lot. Nowadays I use a teasing brush to backcomb it before adding the spray which is really helpful too!

What the fuckkkk haha, I always struggle with my mohawk and I blame the got2b hairspray because it makes it “too” stiff and gapped. Like it’s gaps/space everywhere, especially to the back, the back is the worst part. Any advice? I have quite thick hair, and will need to use some kinda hair foam as to start with or else it won’t stand. Just hairspray doesn’t work.

Does the front part of hair HAS to be shorter than the rest of ur hair or nah ?

I don't usually use gel, do you tease your hair when you put your hawk up? Lots of teasing with hairspray is the best method, in my opinion!

That's exactly what I used to do, and I had trouble keeping my hair up as well. Teasing should help you a lot :)

Short way to do a Mohawk is don't take a shower for 3 days then add water then spike it up.

One thing that I know that is keeping the traditional punk roots alive is by far the underground deathrock and tradgoth scene. I’m talking about the kind of goths who DIY everything: clothes, hair, art, etc. Even then we’re plagued by ravers, metal heads, Manson fans, and mallgoths. I never have been a fan of mainstream punk. I miss my deathhawk.
