Big pointers for anybody getting LED lights: Led lights come with 3M tape, the seem pretty strong but I promise to you, they’ll fall down and lose its grip after a while. Which means, though they may be sticky, they’ll fall down in a while. A while really refers to what way you stuck them up. Let’s say, facing up [eg, on the floor flat down] those LEDS will stick on for years, as long as the surface has been dry and remove of any residue. If you’re sticking them on the wall [eg, directly on the wall facing towards you] that’s usually fine, as long as your LED aren’t too thick/heavy, they should last about a year or two. Now finally, if you’re facing them completely upside down. This is a problem, they may stick up for a day, a week or even if you’re lucky, a month. But definitely they will NOT last a year. Second pointer, for the mother of god, make sure you measure and mark where you’re sticking them up, especially if it’s the wall, mine took so much trouble marking them but I’m glad I did because if I didn’t, and attempted peeling it off, half my wall’S paint would’ve been ripped off with it. Thirdly, when you get the LED and you want to check out the lighting, Make sure to remove it from the roll, this is essential because it prevents too much overheating. Fourthly, Make sure to dry the area you’re putting the LEDS up on, if not, you’re gonna be stuck with problem 2. Paints gonna be ripped off. Fifthly, if you’re putting them on a painted wall, you must KNOW that the paint Will come off and there’s no way around it. Sixthly, when you’re done using the LEDS for the day or something, make sure to unplug it and switch it fully off, this prevents overheating which will also affect your lights in the long term. Seventh Pointer, if you’re buying LEDS invest in some good quality ones, govee is quite a good one and you’ll find a few in amazon. Eighth, though these lights are pretty, they can absolutely demolish your wall, I can’t stress enough how much pain this put me through when I say the paint on my wall just peel off. You have to be aware of the consequences. Ninth, read the instruction, whatever you do, read them. It’s essential, truly it is. And finally, my tenth point, led lights are a hassle, they’re gonna fall down, rip off your paint, over heat, get destroyed. So if you ever plan on buying them, know there will be costs maintaining them, for paint overs, replacements, batteries, etc.

JASSYSHOW haha I suppose it is quite long but I didn’t want anybody to suffer as bad as I had, the lights put me through a. Week of misery, having to individually glue the ripped off pieces of paint onto the wall, then having to buy extra double sided tape for the led lights to stick it on the wall as a permanent fix. I will not lie to you, sometimes I do regret ever putting them on the wall, I wish I had been smarter and instead stuck them onto the outskirts of my floor boarding [the perimeter] or maybe stuck them around my bed frame. That way I wouldn’t have to go through that immense stress and still worry about the hassle of taking it down in the future. I just know if I tried to take it down now or later, half my entire wall will be ripped off and the paint will be entirely gone.

So it did rip the paint off alittle but on the actual wall with no paint...I think it’ll be ok. I advise when you want to take them down or move them, you remove it very slowly so the paint won’t rip off. I think that happened for me because I went alittle too crazy!!!!!

Yesterday I ordered some rgb light strips and they came in today, sadly though the adhesive was trash and the lights were too weak to hold up the power supply so I just packed them up and will send them back to Amazon. Luckily they will send some replacement lights later today so I'm stoked 😊

If you choose to cut the strip on the line with the scissor marking you must buy a small connector which comes in L shapes for corners or turns or just straights
