Glad to hear that you were able to get the belt back on, it’s always a good feeling to know that you can make it happen. If the grass is too heavy and thick it may be necessary to slow the tractor down and cut slower. I find that if I overload the tractor while cutting grass the belt comes off. Of course once you know how to put it on, you just put it on and then you know to take it a little slower. Thanks for the comment back. It was pretty hard putting the belt on and taking a picture of it at the same time. I’m glad it was helpful.

I had to sign in and thank you! My gma is getting older and one thing I do for her is cut her grass, last week the lower broke and I didn't have time to figure out how to fix it. Legend. I felt like I needed the main pulley last… but couldn’t figure out how to purposefully offset the spring tension without taking something off.

What size belt did you buy I bought a 46 inch from the direction on cub cadet and I feel like it I way too small? Any info would be great trying to get this done

It seems like every time the belt comes off I have to relearn the entire process. I’m glad the belt doesn’t come off that often👍👍

I'm having the worst luck getting the belt on the tractor pulley by myself is it ok to loosen that a tad bit loop the belt to it then tighten it back

Magnets & clips holds all great

How do i tighten the belt? Everytime i engage the pto it pops off. Obviously it's loose but im not sure how to tighten the belt. Also, i don't have that lever shown on the lt1045 (I do have the same model)

If it’s loose it probably got stretched while cutting the grass. I’d recommend getting a new belt. If you cut high grass too fast it can stretch it.

With that lever, it looks so simple, but if the same model doesn't have that lever?

Mine doesn't have a lever and it is horrible trying to relieve tension to get the belt on.

@@tristanssimpler8791 use a ratchet strap. 1 end on the pulley with the spring an the other at the back sum were . Then start ratcheting it tight the belt will slip on

mine doesn't have the lever either and it is almost impossible to replace a belt and get the springs in place.

Yeah that's great except there's no lever. I swear this belt is 3 inches too short.

Wow. Misery DOES love company. I've also had a hard time finding the right belt. The manual does not show this 46" deck with two idlers. Just one with a single idler.

I have a rally and there is no lever. Damn thing pops off easily, then shrinks when I try to put it back.

I use a flat dog leash ( flat ribbon like seat belt but 1 in wide) to pull the belt onto engine pull then just pull the thin leash out -- easy
