YAY!!! Just tried this with my personal sized CS Wee Cottage. Sizing is out of wack but it completely works... Thank you so much for sharing this process - just after your anniversary dinner too! I think it was my video and/or pics that you saw, but I got the idea from someone else in the FB group who came up with it first. I posted the video / pics in the CS Fans and Tiny groups on FB, as well as public on my Instagram account. I had been searching for a way to do this for so long, but it was so hard to find, lol. So I had to share it with as many people as possible once I was finally able to do it myself. Total game changer! Rings AND Chic Sparrow!?!?! Yes please!!! 😊

I know this video is older, but thank you so much for this. Until now I had thought I’d need to punch the leather! As a leftie and someone with hand tremors, I need a flat surface to write on. I’ve always wanted a Chic Sparrow TN, but when I tried a TN style notebook for the first time, I couldn’t write on the uneven pages. Problem solved. Time to go butcher a binder!

I want both in the same planner...:) I once saw a gal who had a HYBRID one with rings AND one TN string on each side. THIS is what I want to do... but am scared to try it in case I ruin it. You're brilliant, and I love your videos!! :)

I think the gappy ring that you have is the same one you use to open the whole thing. It might get better if you use the top and bottom levers to open them 😀

I'm intrigued. I have a Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter. It's very much the same idea as a TN, but instead of elastics, it has clips to hold in notebooks. I'm in love with the gorgeous buttery leather, the flexibility, the look, feel, smell, but ... I'm a ring person. I might can do something like this. Or buy a Chic Sparrow. I want rings and soft buttery leather that's not stiff like a true Filofax.

I think I might have to give this a go with a personal size! What size inserts are you using in this still b6? or did you put in personal size? Thanks so much for the inspiration!

+Crystal Dalros These are Personal size rings (in a B6 size notebook with personal size inserts). I had a friend who had a spare set, so we swapped for them. 😊 I've seen Krause rings (*very* nice rings) on Etsy at a shop called LeatherMob: www.etsy.com/shop/LeatherMob Van der Spek also sells rings in their online store: www.vdsshop.com/home/120-mechanism.html Someone else got a really inexpensive cardboard-type planner from Target and cut the rings out of that, but I don't know what size they were.

Hello! I’ve used both, but I preferred the B6, with either 24 or 30 mm rings. 30 mm rings didn’t work in the B6 Slim as they pushed the pages out far enough that they stuck way out of the cover.

Leann Saez You can boy a cheap daytimer or Franklin covey binder for the rings instead of ruining your beautiful Malden.
