How freaking awesome is that? An Engineering Economics lesson on modern power grids and transportation infrastructure for the 21st century from DG. Windmills and State highway budgets. Outstanding. Great to see both teams working together. Great video, guys.
Gas monkey appearance and a Metalocalypse reference, loving it
Rich… you are the man. Not only do I envy you but I admire your perseverance, skills, and sheer relentless will to just do it an get shit done. I salute you sir all the way from Baltimore MD! 🫡
" At least my door didn't open" needs to be on a t-shirt, Rich. I'm still LMFAO. Love it
MAN…. That overhead freeway drone shot was snazzy! Glad someone thought of that and did some planning to get that in. So much to love in this vid. How many tees have you lost on this trip Rich? 😆

When I saw this truck roll up in Albuquerque, I couldn't believe that it's somehow even cooler in person! Outstanding build Rich, Aaron, and crew!
There's Rich. Standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. Such a fine site to see.
😂😂😂 when the door came open on Emily.... LMFAO
This truck is absolutely beautifully gorgeous!! Man I’d love to be able to drive that everyday!!! Gorgeous truck!! Phenomenal job with all the work y’all have put into this beauty!! Maybe one day I’ll have a historical piece of art like this to work on!! God bless~
"That's a grade 8 zip tie, isn't it?" 😂😂😂
Love the new fan testing method! EHD ( Emily Hair Deflection ) 🤣🤣
I think I’d just tack weld the doors shut and dukes of hazard it till u could fix it properly 🤣 at least a guy could lean on the door when your driving without fearing falling out

There was some good one liners ! " grade 8 zip tie " oh and " fake hammer " Great stuff, the door flying open is not so funny when it bounces off ? But funny never the less ! Thanks Rich ! Makes me want to re-body my diesel Yukon ! Any California Suburbans??? Seriously! 🤞🤞. ✌🏻🧡🤘😉🌤🇨🇦🤙👍🏻, ☕️⏳️.
I just started watching this episode and I gotta give major props for the beautiful timelapse on the freeway. How the hell did you manage to not get any bugs on the GoPro screen or have the mount shift at all thru those segments? 👍
That ending was awesome
I hear you brother, us laid back country boys are not made for Las Vegas 🤣
Hey, you were "standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona".
This is by far the most beautiful generation of chevrolet truck, any truck, ever made! My father has the 55 short bed!
Great episode. Great people at that there flying sparks garage!
Excellent!👍😎
BAD ASS TRUCK MY FRIENDS, HAVING A KICK ASS TIME WITH A KICK ASS TRUCK, IT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT.
Dude is lovin’ it! 4:19
Had no idea Flying Sparks was in the area I spent my childhood in. Awesome to see this on here!
For heat, the simple thing is relief cuts in the hood, and preferably fans blowing the hot engine bay air out. Merc gull wing did it through the sides, but even slits below the curved edge of the hood will let the fan forced air escape. Normally the cold air blows under the car and hot air builds pressure under the hood.
Rich you did a great job on Emily’s new truck…!!!! Hahahaha.! This has been a great video series. Congrats.
What an AWESOME EPISODE!!!! Get you some of that!
A 1/4 in hole thru door and pillar with a 20 penny spike nail in it will fix the door opening problem. Ran one like that for 20 years! Great vids!!

I love how you registered it in VT, because you can literally register anything from basically anywhere in VT lol...
@tdotw77
Жыл бұрын
Was wondering that myself? Is it actually that easy in VT? W\out living there or anything? I'm in NY, so this is interesting. We have the annual inspections here so idk how a custom built vehicle would get registered at all here. Also love seeing Emily @FlyingSparks & @DebossGarage featured together on Yt vids! Edit 2.... Amazing video! That ending was super unexpected! @GMG & @RichardRawlings Get you some of that! 😆
@crudboy12

@@tdotw77 The reason is that Vermont can register a vehicle older than a certain age without a title. It's a less time consuming alternative to the bonded title process that is available in other states to register lost title vehicles. Once the vehicle is registered in Vermont, a new title is generated when it's transferred into another state. I've gone through the bonded title process a couple of times in Montana and it's not too bad here, but other states are more strict about establishing ownership. Basically you get a bond similar to a bail bond except that it's for the value of the vehicle, and you owe it to the bond company if someone else comes along and claims ownership of it within a certain period of time (5 years iirc). After that time is elapsed, the bonded title becomes a regular clean title. The so called "Vermont loophole" bypasses the need for a bond, Vin inspection, and other paperwork.
Drain Plug Extension hose adapter with easy oil change valve! ... thingie majingie,
Cool to see you meet up with other youtubers I've watched for years.
Great episode! Keep em coming…
My grandma was an Apache stroker, now we got a whole family tree
With the fans, make sure the concave side of the fan blades faces the back of the car. It makes a huge difference, if the blades are on backwards the fan just makes noise and doesn't move air. This looks like an amazing adventure, building a car, then perfecting it on a road trip. I'd love to come to the States and do the same some day, and ship the car home as a living souvenir.
That truck has turned out amazing. Also Rich, your story telling is the best format. Love it.
This was a great video for my lazy Sunday afternoon yesterday. I love this truck.
Bungie from the expanded metal behind the rear window to the seat headrest to keep the door closed. :)
Drive it like you stole it ! LOL
man this truck is sick, would 100% earn you a defect or 10 here in Australia tho, you would never get that registered here as it is
We all know letting emily. Drive that truck is. A bad idea she may not give it back. 😂😂😂😂😂

MPG on the 55?
Safe journey , can't wait to see it driving by the house !
Awesome job on the vid. 👍👍
Nearly went to one of those restaurants in Amarillo when you were there. Bummed I didn't now!
Door issue was always around in the '50s when I grew up! We used a horseshoe to keep the doors closed! Just bend them in to make a tight fit and they work great!
I have driven from Lost Angeles to Georgia and back many times. It is quite a pretty drive. Also try the 10/20 southern route. Less snow in winter. The rain storms in the Southwest are far more intense than you may imagine.
May I recommend a Mad Max/ Rat Rod build next,.
Dude wants that truck bad lol
those plaid shorts are defanitely a Canuck look
When I retire I want to assemble 57 pickup kit truck. This series was very helpful. I learned some of what I would like on my dream truck.
That truck is so sick. Love it
You guys have so much fun I love it keep the rust rolling my friends
Wow Emily is fun. Someone figure out how to clone her so we can all have one. Great episode Rich. It's cool tweaking it as you go. Best regards from Indiana, USA.

💯👍I want one for sure! She's just amazing! I'm in love with her❣️🛠️
Looking good 👍👍
For reforming your headers, just run the engine at high load for 20 minutes. That will get it plenty hot enough to clearance it.
Finley adds to the build quality, the truck is now lees sketchy by default because he was in the video.
Never would have predicted that Vegas isn't your place.
It's not half as bad as I thought it would be? Says the guy wearing ear plugs...😅😂
Put a bungee on the door back to that mesh window grill
I love the ole patina colors they suit this truck really well, and the stance of that ole chevy with those 20in chrome rims don't get no better than that. Other than not being able to understand a word your saying as your driving with the windows down in that ole truck!! Beautiful Truck though, Rich, I must say.
Love the truck and all the incredible time and work that went into it! I just don't know that I could ever get on board with that slammed & low pro combo, roads are way too bad.. Our N. American roads are just shit! You probably made it back to Ontario a few centimeters shorter 😜
I’m excited to see this truck moving on its own power, it is a great build
You had me at Texas! 😂
Wow, this episode was absolutely epic!
Came together very Nice Rich looks good
Good morning Rich!!
That was enjoyable.
Ok, this was a kickass episode!
This is one thing we are going to miss in the new world but we can always watch it on youtub
love the endslate with Richard, lol.
I drive between Oklahoma and California pretty regularly and I can confirm, the I-40 sucks bad sometimes
Something I noticed… when are you going to connect the passenger side valve cover port to to the throttle body so you will have improved negative pressure on the crank case?
That’s so rad , love that journey when you can’t fall a sleep Ehhh ❤
While you were fixing the wheel you had the same music as mark rober playing in the background and I kept checking what tabs I had open lol
Every gear head carries a gallon jug of antifreeze..... mine usually empty...lol
Keeping the battery from swinging around the box using flammable stuff 😆
1 Sweet truck!
I can’t wait for more F350 content. Hopefully we can see some driving it before winter.
THE ENDING!!!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
On a corner in Winslow Arizona
Well the ending had me laughing lol.
There’s always something that requires your attention. It’s just a matter of how much not when.😂😂
All man that battery box over the hardware store got a piano hedge and then run old leather belt around it Is food for the next score around I think you would look awesome
She wants to buy it, and sells it to Richard 😂😅lol. Or probably that handshake didnt take place 😮
For your next long distance trip, sheep skin seat covers. Youll thank me
I thought that was what those stretchy things with hooks on each end was made for. Holding doors shut, holding hoods down and holding it in high gear.
I live by I-40 in OKC. New Mexico sounds like it's spending the federal funds to maintain I-40 on other things besides maintaining I-40. In Okla it's in great shape except in OKC.

Amen, brother! I've had the fortune of traveling every inch I-40 from Vegas to Wilmington both directions and NM sticks out as the only real tough stretch. Still, not as bad I-20 in LA though... Sheesh
@robfox5892

The stretch where he took damage was actually in AZ, a horrible stretch eastbound between Kingman and Flagstaff. Worst stretch if interstate I've ever been on.
Good shit. Just an FYI but the curved blade E-fans move more CFM's than the straight blade ones. I use Spal's over the FAL, but it's all just preference really.
All great but you guys are Laughing/giggling NON stop...its kind of crazy! All automotive fun is dwarfed by it!
