Its amazing on how we never do such a thing for Soooooooo many many years and everything is okay, no bugs, but then You hear things like this and wonder is the flour made different than back in the 70' 80' and 90's early 20'? 🤷🏾 oh well, Guess its up to The individual. Thanks for sharing regardless 👍🏾

🤗I appreciate the confirmation for freezing flour. This video was good for short term freezer storage. I'm sure there is a method to follow for longer storage times. I honestly don't use flour that much. Mostly during the holidays. So, I stumbled across a clearance basket of baking goods and saw several 5 Lb bag of wheat flour at Sprouts, for .99 and did not want to pass it up. dated for July 2023. I must say.... I'm Definitely not down with plastic containers. I use mason jars, (which incidentally, are freezer safe!👍) and metal cans. Also, I thank God, i have large capacity stand up freezers in the basement. having bags of flour in my upstairs freezer, would drive me 😵‍💫nuts. even storing them, for🤣 24 hours! I love how organized👍 your freezer is. You may not have bugs in your home, however, there is such thing as, flour bugs. Sometimes, they are already present. I see by your comments, you're familiar. I'm a country girl, so I'm familiar. Posted by KZreadr, Homegrown. Flour Bugs; What Are They, & How To Prevent Them! Lastly...What is the basil for? You did not go into detail or give information, or a demonstration, about the basil, and how to use it. Bon Apétité! 👩‍🍳

Lia, if you are gonna store so much food, might I suggest a vacuum sealer for the meat, and some mylar bags and some oxygen absorbers? It would really extend the life of your food.

Hi Lisa hope you and your family are well . Can you do a video talking about how to do a stock pile in a small space , we live in a really small home and have a little 9 month old and no storage space to stock up and I really want to stock up I just have no idea where to store things , the most iv done is having a large chest freezer and overloaded the kitchen cupboards with our regular items that we use often but I want to stock up more but I’m feeling lost

Hi kay I have several videos on my channel showing people how I do my stock up in my apartment for the last 4 years just go to my most watched videos on my channel, but I would definitely do a up-to-date one to go back over everything but those videos I made the last 2 years really help people out who lives in a small space or an apartment.

Hi Lisa, Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm new to long term storage of self rising flour. Is it safe to freeze it for a couple of days, then transfer to a mason jar? Do I have to vacuum seal it? I don't have a vacuum sealer. Mahalo Carol

Hi Lisa, new here! I was told that the oxygen absorber removes all the oxygen, and the bugs cannot live without oxygen, so no freezing needed. I would love your opinion on that!☺️

Freezing has the Potential to introduce Moisture. Please people do your own research. These Yuotubers are giving the wrong information. Use a vacuum sealer or in Mylar bags with Oxygen absorbers.
