That’s why you should always carry a belly chain in your squad car because if the guy isn’t wearing pants with a belt or even belt loops you can always throw a belly chain on and attached the cuffs to if.

The other one gets attached to an ankle it's the only really Safe Way. To a belt belt loop or waistband any fabric can easily be torn.

If they were struggling id do what you said for a quick emg. But otherwise cuff the arm then open the other cuff slide it threw 1 belt loop and close the arm on the arm (reason: since they are 1 armed they are probably way better using there arm/hand in different ways, so double cuff that way they need to uncuff and get out the loop to do anything, which creates more noise and movement 🤞 you pick up on the extra sound and movement)

When I was in the army my platoon sgt was a city cop and he actually had that situation with someone wearing gym shorts and he said had a spare belt in his cruiser so he put that around him and since then he always keeps a spare belt around and even put a riveted hole for the cuff to go through

Hand cuffs are for hands so if the suspect doesnt have any hands they dont need handcuffs

You must have gone to an extremely inferior police academy. This is one of the things that is taught at a premier academy. Going over contingencies and possible scenarios is what is supposed to happen. Videos like this lend credence to the idea that a Hairstylist/Barber receives more training than a police officer before attaining their license to practice.
