Hey Lee, got to know your channel via Ren and subbed, but currently I'm totally on the Putri trip ever since I discovered her, like so many, with her AGT audition... I'm glad you discovered her as well because I really like your ways...This one here was kind of an eye opener for me as well and had me realize she was not only a musically very talented girl with an angelic voice, but a complete musical genius like, say, Mozart or Brahms, of course in her own way, but the amount of musical intelligence in her brain, as well as her empathy for moods in music are the same level... now I'm a few songs ahead of you in my journey with her, and all I found since Lathi confirmed my opinion. Putry can take ANY (as in ANY) song and genre and make it her own, it's completely unbelievable... I can't even imagine what we will get to hear from her in the future... She is a very old soul, like Angelina Jordan, but maybe a little bit older, not much, say a million years or so, which is close to nothing for an old soul... now, as you like Lathi I have a suggestion for you, this one I found only today, it's multiinstrumentalist Putri again, reinventing an ancient folk song from Java in an extinct language, even most Indonesians don't understand what she's singing and google has no idea, but some guys were able to tell it's an ancient evocation for the spirit of the tiger Aulia: "The song "Kutidhieng" is one of the Acehnese ethnic songs using the lyrics of the ancient Acehnese language which has become extinct. Etymologically, the word "Kutidhieng" means pet; like a mother holding her child and lulling her while singing lullabies. However, according to stories from various sources, it is said that this song has the meaning of a song that contains "a spell to summon or tame Rimueng Aulia (Tiger Aulia)" which implies a strong tradition and seems mystical. However, the lyrics of the Kutidhieng song sung by Putri are actually different from the original lyrics. The original song lyrics date back to the Pre-Islamic era and are considered black spells used in old beliefs before major religions came to Aceh.
