In the beginning, when he first took over for Yeltzin, he probably didn't know what he was doing (and he inherited a nation in ruins). The Russian people are being rewarded for their patience & perseverance. They stuck with him through some dark years (and constant undermining by CIA ops & regime change attempts), and now they are seeing Putin at his best. He not only has Russia in a very good place, but he also is having massive positive effects on the global stage. Perhaps best of all, he (along with Xi) are methodically dismantling the unipolar, U.S.-dominated hegemony.

And by the way, Alex is doing pretty damn good job speaking Russian. No cap (as the kids say nowadays). Keep it up! Love your show! I'm watching it religiously.
