Even before WWII ended, a rivalry was growing between US and Soviet Union of which is the most powerful country. When Germany was carved out in 1945, it had 4 pieces - 1 each controlled by US, France, UK and Soviet Union. The parts controlled by the former 3 were combined to form West Germany and Soviet controlled became East Germany. Hence, the competition/rivalry between them was already underway much before NATO was created.

Even though russia has to do this for stopping NATO influence around his borders, killing innocents by invading them should not be one's choice. Pray for Innocent Peoples.

"NATO influence around its borders"..... Do you even understand the meaning of this sentence? "Influence"...? NATO would be able to bring all of their troops, nuclear weapons, tanks, jets everything into Ukraine if Ukraine joins NATO. A hypersonic missile would take only 5 minutes to reach Moscow. This isn't just "Influence", this is about the existence of Russia. Wouldn't you kill and go berserk if your life is threatend ? Putin has to destroy Ukraine to save Russia. Any sane person would do the same. War was forced on Russia. 70% of Russian gas pipelines pass through Ukraine. "Killing innocents....." We are made of our choices. Ukraine people chose bombs and death when they voted for NATO. Same concept applies to our everyday life. You don't die for being innocent, you die for your actions.

@@aditya-ml6km lmao this is just brainwashed commie propoganda and mental gymnastics at its finest..ukraine were literally forced to give up all their nuclear weapons to russia in exchange for its sovereignity to be recognised and respected ( re-bucharest memorandum), yet russia has kept invading them for the past 2 decades. Illegal annexation and occupation of Crimea and georgia, (military intervention of syria in 2015), afg ( in 79) not to mention funding donbass seperatists to create chaos and disrupt peace, so ofc ukraine and the vast majority of the former ussr countries wanted to join nato for security and safeguarding their independence. Russia is a military superpower with nuclear weapons, and you want me to believe their existence is somehow being threatened by a bunch of small, weak, virtually defenceless countries on its border lmao. This is the equivalent of saying china and pak are justified in their respective actions towards india, because they feel threatened by the presence of its border personnel. You'd make for a great fanfiction writer😂😂

Russia isn't doing it to stop nato expansion and also Russia is the only reason why nato keeps expanding. Other countries want to join nato. Nato doesn't force anyone to join. Only if Russia wasn't so aggressive towards it's neighbors nato couldn't have expanded so far.

Welll another reason russia invaded ukraine is because it wants set up warm water ports , most russian ports (kalningrad ,st Petersburg ,munmarsk, vladivostok ) freeze in the month of winter making it difficult to maintain a stable economy (also all these ports sit across numerous choke points which can blocked by NATO easily ) , invasion of Ukraine will not only enable russia to set up numerous warm water ports(which are easy to maintain) but also enable them to excercise power in Black sea and counter their major rival (turkey ) ,the invasion was not just to re-establish the lost glory but to also strengthen its maritime economy

Ukraine joining Nato is a legitimate problem for Russia. But going to war was not the correct option. In 2022 you cannot invade the largest country in Europe without paying an extremely heavy price.
