OMGGG! Thank you so much for including groups like 4Minute, 2NE1, VIXX, BIGBANG, Super Junior, TVXQ, SS501, B.A.P et cetera. I was absolutely vibing to the old K-Pop songs. It was mostly the newer songs that I didn't know. Makes sense I guess, as I was a fan from 2012 until 2021 (I was bullied out of it by K-Pop fans)

While I do agree that 1st gen is missing, I think it would need to be in a category above expert simply because, nowadays, lots of international fans got into k-pop starting from 3rd or 4th gen. 2nd gen is still kinda known for some iconic and timeless songs, but 1st gen is kinda "older sounding" which might not be to the taste of everybody, plus, lots of the idols from 1st gen have stopped their career or disbanded and have gone their own way, so ofc they probably remain iconic in Korea and to the international fans who got into k-pop in its early stages, but I believe it's not wrong to say that they're not as common knowledge as they used to be amongst fans. No hate intented towards anybody, I'm thankful to 1st gen for starting k-pop and building a way for it to grow, I'm also thankful to all k-pop stans (new to it or not) for appreciating and supporting new groups or older groups ! But yeah, all of this to say : I think it would need its own category, maybe something like "Veteran", "Maven" or "Master" ? Idk ahah

@@yunakagami4070 I 100% agree that 1st gen is not common knowledge (except maybe some songs like Candy and Perfect Man) and that's why I said it would make it "expert level". It is not about what you like or when you started listening, but about your knowledge. If we are talking about being a Kpop expert, I personally believe you should know at least a little bit about each gen (this also goes for older fans knowing about the newer generations). I myself started listening at the cusp of 4th gen but I know a lot about old school too. I was only making a suggestion if they wanted to make the game more challenging 😙

I'm listening to "newer" groups like skz (who are currently my ults, at least the active ones, I ult BigBang too but without seungri), TXT & Gidle who have amazing songs, I also enjoy Blackpink. I must admit that, aside from these groups, I only know some title tracks of other "newer" groups such as Ive, Ateez, Newjeans, Le Sserafim, Weki Meki, Izone, Enhypen, Itzy, Aespa (and others that I may have forgotten to list here). I also got really behind on songs from 3rd gen groups that I love really much such as NCT, Red Velvet, BTS' bsides, Mamamoo, Seventeen, Day6, Winner, BtoB, GFriend, Exo, GOT7, iKon, Monsta x, Twice (bsides), CLC, VIXX, Pentagon and much more... I don't have any particular genre of songs that I dislike, I can dislike a song because of random reasons so I love and am not afraid discovering new songs, even the "less appreciated" ones because it can always be a good surprise in the end ! Sorry for the long text ahah, I'd really appreciate to listen to ur recommendations !! I have a huge list of k-pop songs to listen to right now (like 400+) but it's a lil bit overwhelming, so getting recs from someone would be much easier and appreciated!

I passed. Thought I would fail until I saw the intro. You actually had groups like Kara, Nu'est, Mblaq, B.A.P, Infinite, Exid, U-kiss, Teen Top , etc. I felt relieved and happy to see them be part of lists like this again.

They are all too iconic. It's impossible to lose

Dang it! I lost but it’s mainly bc of the 2nd generation songs even though I knew a good few of them there were also a lot of them I didn’t know. I would probably know more if I would have stuck with K-pop. I originally got into K-pop back in 2013 with groups such as SHINee, Big Bang and Girls Generation but fell out of it in 2014. Got back into it three years ago with mostly now 3rd and some 4th generation groups.
