Sahhar Hafiz it’s prolly cuz of his ethnicity, Hollywood doesn’t cast those who aren’t white tbh. Especially since he is Egyptian, even black people get casted more than them, Egyptians rarely get casted sadly:(

Emanuel M I wish we’d open our eyes and realise its not always a race issue, I can’t tell the many actors that fade off after a big film or show and they can be any colour, it’s who’s got it or not. And that’s the way Hollywood works

I don’t think it’s his ethnicity though. Loads of white actors have had problems finding work after- because sometimes they are stuck in that role/character that it’s hard to shake off.

@anthonyu2 Will Smith carried the movie because he's famous, his performance as the genie was good ngl, Mena played Aladdin witch is the main character and didn't have that many lines to showcase his ability thats why alot of people thought he was flat sometimes, i thought he was very good wasn't overacting and overwhelming like Naomi i thought she overacted a little and her song was too mutch, but i see coz Hollywood always pushes this narratives of if you show so mutch feelings and emotions you're a good actor, sometimes i feel that could make the scenes cringe and overwhelming, Mena did a great job and fit the role so well

@@doniamer2009 He didn't have a lot of room to breathe and exist in this movie. Just like Aladdin in the animated version. Everyone talks about Jasmine or The Genie (Robin Williams) but I don't see tons of people being like "omg Aladdin my favorite Disney character ever!" a lot of people who say they love Aladdin it's because of Robin Williams' voiceover or because of Jasmine's character. Even Jafar was always more memorable than Aladdin. It's the same here. Mena on Reprisal is awesome tho, so much more grit and depths to his acting than a Disney movie.

Yes he deserves alot of roles but he kinda needs to watch out saying stuff like that all the time because that's a big turn off to directors or producers idk how that works but yea I think they will look at it like he's being a cry baby about it. I've seen him say stuff like this in three other interviews, he needs to chill hahaha they probably wont doing that, u know? He's good looking, has a great personality...he can act. He will get roles eventually 🙂. I think they are holding off because they want him for a part 2 in Aladdin, watch ha. Idk I may be wrong tho about part 2. We'll have to see 😁👍🏼.
