Well, they apparently can't afford proper equipment. That is really pathetic. That tire exploded and could have killed the firefighter. When I was in VFD I carried jackets etc in my personal vehicle. I could respond to the firehouse or directly to the scene. It's 2023 for crying out loud!

She looked back, probably knowing the car behind them was attempting the TVI, and then it happened, that's the inevitable, they're grunting and struggling to be human afterwards! They're vehicle on fire is the icing on the cake. Great job officer's!!!!!!

People should take into account that ASP is going to pit you when they catch up to you. In my opinion it would be a dang site easier to just stop and take your lumps than to get pitted

I was getting pretty upset thinking that guy might be dying in the back seat of Trooper Padgetts car. Even though he's the bad guy, he could have died and no one checked on him for a long time. I kept looking to see if he was breathing. I guess he just needed a nap 😴

The first group were all volunteer firefighters. No budget, plus they were outside.

This is a rural all volunteer fire department. They don’t have the money for PPE or any extras. They got an emergency signal, rolled out of bed and got to work.

Updated: Troopers get passing marks for ensuring the safety of the occupants but an F for not responding to the sight of flames. What stands out to me in the first two minutes is driving at night is still very challenging. Thank you NST.

An F for not responding to the flames....that would be up to the fire dept. not the police. The car was a total and destine to go up in flames nothing but a distraction.

I was curious about that, but I don't know how many officers on scene. Two suspects, 2 officers? Fire could have been extinguished if there was clear access to the source.

The first group were all volunteers. They had to drive from home to the volunteer station then to the fire site. I think they did pretty darned good! If someone lives out in the middle of nowhere that’s their choice and they should understand the consequences.

Rural fire department serving a poor county with a bunch of volunteers. These folks rolled out of bed to jump in their truck and run to help in whatever manner they could.

Wait, what?? I was subscribed and just noticed I wasn't. I hit it again but this is becoming more frequent with my subs. Y'all might wanna bolo for that with this and other subs. I'm also not getting my notifications from some of them anymore even though they are on.

I figured out to get notifications the bell has to be black. If one just subscribes then the bell is clear/white. I don’t know when that changed.

They need to start keeping smores fixings in their cars for such momentous occasions.

ere the police would have to pay damages to the vehicle for not being able to extinguish the fire immediately with a hand extinguisher that should be in every vehicle it is also part of the task to prevent environmental damage
