Kara was the ultimate scene stealer. Watching the play I just kept thinking “wow, she’s a star!”

Just saw Purlie and Kara Young blew my mind. She absolutely is a different person in this character. She does amazing physical humor but in this way where she’s not trying to be funny. She just fully embodies the character.

I adore Leslie, like seriously! The man’s voice and presence is simply peace! Wish I could see this play, I’m certain it’s magnificent 😊

Young is electric in yellow-engaging and bright. She is one to watch.

I could see Ms. Young playing Ruby Dee in a biopic 👀

Kara looks so much like Ruby Dee! 😮

Do not forget that Cleavon Little played Purlie and Melba Moore played Lutiebelle Gussie Mae Jenkins Sherman Hensley played Gitlow

I really wanted to see the play, but seating is too uncomfortable for my long legs. I love Mr. Odom as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. I hope they stream it one day.

Leslie has a big movie coming out Friday but unfortunately can’t talk about it because of the actors strike. Exorcist Believer.

A note to Whoppi - I love the way you always promote Broadway plays - I love plays - especially New York Broadway plays, but I think you have lost perspective - It is extremely expensive - My Daughter & her sons live in NY and the boys go/went to a performing arts school - but no way they can AFFORD to do a play. They hardly can afford the Movie theatre - I'm out of state so there is no way I can do NY theatre - but still, Road shows are still extremely expensive. I would be willing to bet your audience members can seldom afford to go. You are not being realistic! I absolutely LOVE Leslie Odom & there are many shows I would like to see, but I'm too old & poor & far away now to do any plays - My Daughter is a school teacher - single mom so you know she by no means can take her family to a show. Possibly you can start a program for all the kids in performing arts schools/programs for them to experience a show just once in their lifetime!?!

I feel like it was disrespectful for Sunny to not ask Leslie any questions she hates black men shaking my head for real.🤦
