The two best things about these lectures, it seems to me, are that they are so objective and definitive. These qualities, kept in balance, presented within an obviously huge gift for teaching, make the lectures irresistible.

Ryan Reeves, only Protestantism has spawned so many divisions and heresies. It's exactly what Satan wants, the endless continuation of schism. Reeve's you're well aware that there has only been one Christian Church that has provided the bedrock of stability through out the ages, the RCC!

Thanks for these videos, Dr. Reeves. I guess I just can't swallow all these positions, and isms and pedantry that the "church" has reveled in over the centuries. It just goes to show that when you start one degree off, you end up miles from your destination. If I'm heading to Hawaii, get going in the wrong direction, and I wind up in Maine, now I seemingly have no other choice but to concoct some defense as to why Maine is kind of like Hawaii with its mountains, rugged coastlines, distinctive cuisine, natives who say stuff like "Ayah". . . or something.

Isn't it true that the puritans came from the Bible Belt and Delft (Holland/The Netherlands), but weren't liked there so went to England?

I don't know how you do it, Dr. Reeves. A few images, talk, talk, talk about what by all rights ought to be dull as ditch water, and we can't stop watching. Now that you've explained about Muggles, will you please tell us about how those Satanists at Hogwarts fit in to the Christian story? =P

Our Protestant brothers say no one is infallible, then contradict themselves and claim their humanly devised criteria can infallibly determine what books are God-breathed Canon. But this cannot be true because fallible human opinion has no way of ever infallibly knowing what books are God-breathed. Happily, we can know what books are God-breathed Canon because God gave infallibility in this matter to "The One True Church," the Roman Catholic Church. This must be true or we can never know the authentic Bible. And the same is true for the doctrines of the faith like the Trinity and the divinity of Christ. God does not want His Church to be divided into thousands of denominations who all say "God told" them and then disagree with each other. Has God told them all different things? No. Would it not be a good idea for all Christians to consider what Paul said about division in the church? "I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be united in mind and conviction. My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius.…" (I Cor. 1:10-14)

This 'problem' is more a case of RELIGION VERSES BIBLE BELIEF. Religion can never save. Knowledge of God's Way of Eternal Salvation as found in His written (inspired, God-breathed) Word - is the only way of true Salvation in Christ Jesus and in the full Atonement He made at Calvary.
