🤩🤩 I have learned SO much about how to record a band IN the studio and capture what they really sound like both to a live audience and to themselves and to each other. …and that’s HUGE. It’s so important to the flow and to the completion of the album. 🤘😎🤘

What a thought! - as Slovenia (my country) won its independence in 1991 and started on the road of autonomy I was listening to a lot of the music discussed; meanwhile, Sylvia (of whom we were all entirely unaware at the time) was sitting somewhere in LA assisting and producing this music, or hunting it down at the Whisky. Also, it was a similar experience half a world away as our local young band scene at the time was still post-punk and HC, but we were hanging at our local clubs, similarly getting the first bands into my small studio to work on for free (and inventing weird microphones, cause we couldn't afford proper gear yet, and working with plastic toy mics for bassdrums (actually worked really well), then reamping the drum set mono through a slightly crunched up Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (the best amp we had between us) for the spring reverb, cause reverb plugins at the time didn't do it for us. This one got me nostalgic. Great stuff, again I vocally voice my support!

So I guess Sylvia uses Neve's on her 57's?Those WE 111c repeater coils (used to connect long analog telephone lines) are actually pretty easy to find, not sure how in spec they are individually though and there's different generations and laminations that are more desirable to the Hi-Fi peeps.Did Sylvia take an impulse response from the coolingg tower?Love your work Andrew,if I had an in with the Vatican selection committee I'd fast track you for Sainthood.
