It was a magical night at the Hawaii Theatre as we got to relive past memories and listen to some great music.
Jake, Jon and Lopaka joined together to play some of the old tunes that many remember from the '90s. We also got to take a trip down memory lane as the group told the story of how they got together.
Please enjoy this special presentation of Pure Heart Live at Hawaii Theatre!

Am I the only one still commenting?! You 3 had such synergy. John, Lopaka and Jake.
Jake was never my favorite ukulele, but brada can Jam. Full on Hawaiian, europa means a lot to me; and a grew up on Olinda road, ya my hanai family wrote da song🤙Mahalo. You 2 bradas solid as Jake ❤️💛💚💯
"Still got it" is an understatement. You guys are LEGENDS FOREVER. Jon's voice is permanently in my head. Choke ALOHA on stage here. It can't get better than this. GREAT COVER choices!
Just went to their full concert in Waimea on The Big Isle...Enjoyed every minute...
Wow, just so beautiful. I am Canadian and had the great fortune to stay on Maui for 6 months many years ago. I had visited Oahu and Maui many times before and loved it from my first visit but that was my first real chance to know Hawaii. I truly fell in love with it and it will always be my home in my heart.I would have loved to stay forever but unfortunately, as a Canadian, that was as long as I could legally stay and I had to return to Canada. I was truly sad to leave the spirit of the islands behind me. I have been able to visit a few times since then but only ever for a few weeks at a time which is not quite the same. Listening to the music of Hawaii keeps that deep feeling of Aloha alive in my heart. Thanks for sharing the music of Hawaii with the world HI*Sessions and spreading the spirit of Aloha to all people!
No Kai Oi the best music I've heard since I moved back to mainland! Mahalo Nui Loa Pure Heart
Pure Heart, one of my inspirations growing up. The chemistry between Jake and Lopaka is unreal, then Jons distinct voice, brings back all the feels!
Never should have broken up the band.
Great concert, great band, they should get back together more often!
Gosh, remember meeting Jake 18 years ago when he looked a geeky young magic musician … he enjoyed checking out my old treastured Martin uke … such a sweet soul … it must have been a blast putting together this amazing band! …. love all these guys 💕💕💕
What an incredible music passion you guys are. A friend of mine mentioned about Jake being the best ukulele player in the Universe and he is not wrong at all. Wananavu! (meaning great in Fijian). I'm captivated by your versatility, spontaneity and abosulute talents as muscians but you amaze me with your humble brotherly souls that you converted me as a follower of your beautiful music. You all are a unique talent in your own right and I sense the deep love you exude with one another and with all your music followers around the world. God Bless!
From Aunti Jo here...you boys have brought me much joy and kokua over the years.
Amazing, beautiful, bountiful, heavenly. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this divine blessing.
Never gets old... been a fan since high school days (20+ yrs?!) and I'm listening to this while working from home in Tokyo. Incredible. Love you guys!
Hawaii’s Gem 💎 !!!!
2 words.....Wow Wow (thanks for posting this Jon and HiSessions! Great stuff!)
I don’t understand who comes to this and dislikes it. Great video, great concert!
Lopaka, truly a gifted percussionist🤙🏽💖🏝💜🏝💖🤙🏽 a classic trio we are blessed
I miss Pure Heart SO much! Wish they'd make another album.
Takes me home everytime I watch this. I've either met and/or jammed with every one of these guys. I understand my "handle" doesn't necessarily give me away. That's the idea....Anyway, if you think Avery Reis, then you know his brother.... Anyway, thanks guys for bringing home to me in the Mid-West. I love you.
