Thanks Shane I bought the Trinnov based on your review and love it. I went all in on Perlisten. I have two D215S and two D212S with their S7T S7C and the S4S surrounds. They are without a doubt the best speakers I have owned. I had a pair of REL subwoofers and these crushed the REL's If you have the chedder and your girls permission run don't walk to Perlisten!

@chaddone As much as they are great they vastly overpriced also. For the price of single D215s you could have 2 stack of two Arendals 1723 1v and still change left while it would absolutely own Perlisten. You pay a lot for this extra output in single box and certification. Not worth it. Worth mentioning same guy who designed Perlisten designed Arendals also. Their towers are excellent value and excellent performance also but admittedly don’t look as nice as Perlisten. Nevertheless if cost doesn’t matter they are one of the best if not the best speakers around. Enjoy!

Fun to watch a review of a sub that seems to be perfect for everything. It’s nice to know that it is possible to have your cake and eat it too, as long as you have the $$$$ for some pricey cake. If I win the lotto, a full Perlisten system would be my first purchase. But until then, I’m looking at subs that are closer to $2k. Maybe someday you’ll have the Monolith 16 in your home theater. I’m curious how well it would do for you.

I made my own 15” subwoofer, tuned at 30hz but I can tell you, that thing creates such an atmosphere especially in a big room like we have. The sun is from a PA system and it it’s 600w it’s very heavy too and the bass is so intense that I almost cracked the drywall beside it. I have also a small 8inch that can reach 25hz but I rarely use it because my big sub sound way better lol

You should also compare this to the M&K X15+ subwoofer, which I believe was the first Dominus Certified subwoofer. But it's also 3KW (Short Term) vs 700W RMS. You never know. The M&K might give it a run for its money.

The Perlisten D215S is a carbon copy of the M&K X15. Lars Johansen was bought out of M&K and started Perlisten. He took all his knowledge from M&K with him to Perlisten. That´s why Perlistens products have so many features directly copied from M&K. They even include a set of white gloves with the D215S, something M&K have done with their Thx products for ages. Allthough the D215S looks sweet, I´d definately go with the M&K X15+ instead. Same technology but 2000$ cheaper

My question: with a room of 4x5meters (ish), will a single d215S or dual D115S be a better option? The placement of a single D215S will be in the center back, but 2x single 15 will go nicely below the screen. Any thoughts?

Thanks Shane for your review, have really been looking forward to it. NO doubt that D215S is a beast, the question is 1 REL 1510 Pred will give you around 95 DB at 7 HZ, when looking at your previous review. For the same money for 1 Perlisten D215S you can get 4 REL 1510, I know that 4 REL will be a smoother an even out dips, but would you still recommend 1 Perlisten D215S over 4 REL 1510, it would very much appreciated for your comments.

Wow, very lofty comments Shane. So given the impact we contour to hear about the benefits of dual/multiple subs….would you suggest that if at a certain budget point “ one of these” or two decent subs say at half the price? Essentially asking if with the DSP, size, and push pull dual design,,,,is it good enough to work with just one of these bad boys in say a room 16 x20 9 foot ceilings? I am currently running 4 lower end 12” and bass is ok, but boomy, sounds like 4 budget subs …if I was ready to spend the cake needed to buy one of these, or am I still better off to go with two subs at half the cost each ? Thanks.

If you want to go with two subs at half price you could get the Perlisten D15. I got almost the same performance as the single D215 but with smoother coverage for all seats. Your room is big so duals would be ideal.
