This is why I always found it really bizarre how some people thought Kong would have the strength advantage because he is a gigantic Gorilla. Gorillas are ridiculously strong when compared to humans but a Saltwater Crocodile is a hell of a lot stronger than a Silverback Gorilla.

He wasted so much energy and strength taking down Kong, he was too exhausted to fight MechaGodzilla. Though Mecha still would've had the advantage as it normally does that gash in Godzilla's leg is gonna slow him down a lot.

I like the respect Godzilla gave Kong for not bowing down and Godzilla nodded “I’m still the alpha though”

@@hardknocks5077 you interpreted that wrong. He was claiming status over Mecha Godzilla. Like I said he didn’t bow to Godzilla but he lost the fight and still is not the alpha. Godzilla and him worked together they wouldn’t have beaten mecha without the aid of each other. Godzilla lost no crown. The threat was wiped away and he’s still alive and remains the alpha. If kong didn’t accept his place he and Godzilla would have fought to the death right afterwards. Kong doesn’t respect his status in terms of submitting but he respects Godzillas strength as does Godzilla respects Kongs. Which is never bowing or submitting. Godzilla recognizes this as a strength not a complete threat. As he’s the only titan to not kneel to Godzilla out of fear or whimper in fear in the face of death. Kong is useful but they have bad blood and history

I would go furthur and say "King Kong is the bigger name at the box office". Kong has always been more popular w/ the casual fan. Godzilla w/ the hardcore niche fans. Kong may have gotten more hits but Godzilla's hits were more impactful and stronger. Nice to see these two teaming up against a bigger threat in GxK

From 6:35 Godzilla already had enough of Kong. He stopped using Atomic breath and went full beast mode using teeth, claws, tail, then body slam. You can imagine him going like "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU- INSOLENT APE"

I think my favorite part of this movie is where Godzilla burns a hole directly to Kong just to tell him to "STFU I'm busy up here!" I mean really; the whole movie they establish there's these mystical portals that shift space-time or whatever that are the only way to enter hollow earth, right? But here comes Godzilla, just going turbo-mode and blasting a hole *_DIRECTLY_* to Kong through who knows how much of the earth's crust. Not only does completely bypassing the weird cosmic portal gobbledygook, he has such an awareness of the whole damn planet that he knows *_exactly_* where to aim! Its just such a ridiculous display of how f***ing awesome Godzilla, I love it so much

Well....to be fair....Godzilla doesn't either. There is not a single instance of Godzilla running or retreating from any opponent in the Monsterverse. Not once. He never willingly gives up any ground to any enemy. Even when he's getting thrashed by Mecha-Godzilla he just keeps coming at him and never once tries to escape. That's why him and King Kong will be an interesting team up. They're very different but they have that never retreat, never surrender mentality in common..

Even though i'm a kong fan. I can admit, my boy lost bad! Godzilla was obviously the stronger titan. However, i've seen so many, Godzilla fans say how they respect the hell out, Kong after seeing this fight. He soldiered right through to the very end.

U can't stop lying about being a kong fan. U r not fooling anyone by salivating on the lizard. Did kong surrender. If yes how ? He did not lose bad. He just a 2 rounds in a three round fight. He won against mg. Showed that he is better fighter in the close range. Even at the certainty of death, he roared defiance. As a great man once said, death is lighter than a feather and duty heavier than a mountain. How did kong surrender? Or is just tour imagination

@@shaidanwheel6199 1: Yes i am a Kong fan! But you wouldn't know that would you? And Kong beat Mech G because the humans short circuted him and Godzilla powered up his axe for him. If he hadn't, Mech G would have killed him. And yes he showed defiance against Godzilla. But it was on Kongs face. He couldn't keep up anymore so Kong had no choice but to stop resisting

Kong struggled to hold mga tail with one hand. If he used both he could have done better. He did so well against both monsters. Once his shoulder was injured the fight was over. Even then he did not just sit down and cry. He tried to get back and fight. That's not a sign of not resisting. That's a sign of I will die before i surrender.

The axe was doing little to no damage to Mech G when it was just a plain old axe. The humans short circuted Mech G. Which stopped his tail allowing, Goodzilla to power up Kongs axe allowing him to get the win. I'm just telling u like it is kid. Even though i adore Kong. He lost, plain and simple

Godzilla after the fight be like: If he dies. He dies.

Godzilla making that smile after shooting Kong down is something else...

Look. Kong lost the fight. Godzilla's the king. I get it. But damn... That part where he kept interrupting Godzilla's Atomic Breath by socking and kneeing him in the face... That's a type of disrespect no other Kaiju than Kong could serve to Goji, haha

I will never understand why there are Godzilla and Kong Stans. This fight is absolutely awesome and went exactly how it was supposed to go. Godzilla and Kong are just not the same thing and they never have been. Whether it's the legendary universe or their own respective fiction, Kong is the 8th wonder of the world and Godzilla is an indestructible analogy of nuclear fallout. Even with their new character traits added for the legendary universe, it's not out of pocket for Kong to be the underdog.

Idk why Legendary wants us to think Kong is anywhere even remotely close to being Godzilla's equal.

Why do you people speak like those are real creatures. Even in the context of movies, Heroes are always weaker than villains and heroes havd to find a way to overcome their weakness. Kong is an intelligent being meanwhile Godzilla is killing machine created by nature. They are equal but not in terms of strength. Keep in mind the fact that Kong is young and inexperienced. It's more like a Rookie vs Veteran battle.

This kong didn't fight trex. He fought skull crawlers. Breaking the jaw is a way to assert dominance. These creatures use their mouth to attack by breaking it ,they pretty much become useless.

Godzilla played with Kong for almost the entire battle, giving him hope of victory, and at one point Goji laughed when he saw Kong fly from his beam and when he got hit on the head with an axe, he was like, "well, it's time to finish where's that hairy ass?" and he has already entered full rage mode

Our lizard is so happy to see a monke fell when he finally hits him and laughs...

I like how in the final moment Kong was legitimately afraid but try to not show or despite being the one with his back against the ground and when Godzilla roared that same fear of dying was still there but out of spite Kong double down in his defiance with balls big enough that Godzilla couldn’t ignore and had to give him recognition and respect for letting him fall to his injuries instead of personally finishing him off

I love this fight scene so many great camera angles, I love that godzilla laughs when he hits kong with his atomic breath

I wonder how many people died in this battle

King Kong absolutely catches Godzilla off guard. Godzila completely underestimates Kong. He's never fought another monster with such animalistic prowess and he does that because he sort of panics. He actually becomes defensive and has to crawl and scratch at Kong like a dumb animal because hes found a truly formidable foe and hes not used to it. Its like someone wildly swinging their fists in a fight, just in order to get a hit in. Thats something we've never seen from Godzilla, hes always the top dog and in this fight, he still is and eventually becomes the victor but he REALLY has to go for it. Its awesome.

Kong was like " i hit you with an axe" godzilla: "then what?, i can just spam my laser blaster thats in my mouth" kong : really bruh?, you're not even limping?" godzilla: nahh *spams more lasers* and one thing i'm the king around here *shouts'*

Something I love about Kong is his strength when given tools for the situation. Godzilla is by default stronger than Kong, but give Kong the right weapons for the job and he could kick godzillas ass
