It's not evil. That's a trivial human excuse. This is human nature based on our yet primitive thought processing that was shaped by the ability of our ancestors to survive, being greedy and expansionists. In objective reality there's no wrong nor right. Things thus just are. It might be sad, or anything else but it's not good nor evil. These words are just quirks of human language like describing the lack of anything as "nothing", being contradictory to the purpose of the term itself. The factors that come into play are plenty, and just calling it an evil event or person does not make it justice; the polarization of western society in general and specially in North America during the beginning of the 21st century, together with the amount of people in a given place are clearly not helping.

Dormitory rooms are extremely small and when two students put in one room does not get along, it becomes very dangerous. When one student asks for a change in room, college does not respond favorably. They want you to wait for the next semester or next year. Many times students who cannot get along cannot wait that long.

I made this decision conscious of the ramifications it could have on my independence (trust me there are a few vacations that I wish I could go on right now). There are moments that I regret it, fleeting though they may be, but I believe in save a little now for more later. Staying at home means that I could graduate with little to no student loan debt, and start building up some credit when I do move into my first apartment. I’ll try to find some roommates who are easy to live with (I’ve already got some people in mind) to make rent, but until then I’m fine living at home. No one in our family lived on Campus and everyone went to College and Grad School. They would rent you a room with your cousins who are at the same school or a room in a family home with a family they trusted to parent you like they would.
