Puppy Teeth Didn't Fall Out - Here is What Happened To Our Labradoodle

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Just like for kids, puppy teeth should fall out when their adult teeth erupt. If the puppy teeth don't fall out - it is a problem! When our Mini Labradoodle puppy Max had some retained baby teeth he had to have SURGERY!
This video shows what happened and explains when Puppy teeth should fall out. Max is fine but he was woozy after the surgery.
Puppies usually have 28 baby teeth, and 42 full size adult dog teeth.
When do puppy teeth fall out? The puppy teeth should all have fallen out by around six months. Around this time all the adult teeth also grown through.
In fact by the time the average puppy reaches 7 months of age, all 42 adult teeth will be present.
The most common Puppy teeth that stick around longer than we want are the upper canines. The lower canine fangs also stick around sometimes.
