It’s been an amazing honor to work with Full Moon Features. It’s crazy to think that our little fan-game from 10 years ago would evolve into the official game of the series, it's been a real dream come true.
We want to thank everyone for their patience, there’s so much going on behind the scenes. We thought it would be important to get everyone up to speed on some of what we’ve been working on.
Single Player
First, we would like to announce that Puppet Master: The Game will be releasing in OPEN BETA on March 1st of 2023! I know, sadly we won't be releasing this year like we said in the announcement trailer, but there’s a good reason for that!
Come March 1st, Puppet Master: The Game will include a new game mode called Toulon’s Journals. A single player sandbox mode where you can complete challenges, fight bad-guys, earn experience points, and best of all, find lost pages of Andre Toulon’s.
The Journal pages act as an audio log that you can discover in the game’s environments. Finding one allows you to hear Andre Toulon as he recalls his History with the puppets all while while you play. You’ll also be able to listen to them at your own convenience outside of the game once they’ve been unlocked.
Toulon’s Journals were written by Nat Brehmer, author of Puppet Master Complete, a Franchise History. Let me tell you, that Nat did an amazing job honoring the History of franchise while adding some fun new details about the Puppet’s past. We can’t wait to share what he has written with you when Toulon’s Journal releases next year.
Bot Support
Another feature we have been working on is adding Human BOT SUPPORT. This will allow you to play all of our Future Human vs Puppet game modes as either a Solo or Coop experience.

The cool thing about the characters is that you don't even need to be a fan of the movies to enjoy the game because they all translate perfectly to game form with all their unique different abilities.

An old classic, got me nightmares when I was a kid. Awesome to finally see it as a game. Looks both creepy and fun.

I use to be terrified by the Puppets as a kid. It's what caused my life long fandom XD

I'm playing this game for the first time today. Amazing. I did NOT have "Puppet Master Video Game" on my 2023 bingo board. But I'm not at all disappointed. I can't wait to see what all you do with it. PLEASE don't let this flop 🙏

Amazing. I can't tell you how excited I am to have single player and bot support announced. I hope we can play as torch and the puppets in single player and we're not just limited to human investigators. My only criticism is the amount of time it takes to pick up the artifacts. I understand that it is a game mechanic and is integral to game flow, so perhaps having the artifacts still visible to the player but locked in a jar or safe, curiosity cabinet, etc or something to justify the time to grab. Can not wait to play. Wish Listing today.

TBH we almost didn't' show the gameplay because there a lot of extermination with our balance. We want to find that "secrete formula" that will make the game fun for both sides. In this video you may notice how resilient the human is. The puppets must work together to ambush them to do as much damage to them as possible so they can down them and deplete their downed-state HP. This isn't about the chase its all about puppet ambush opportunities. The interaction time for the objective allows the puppets a prime opportunity to ambush the human. However it maybe turned up a bit too much. We will have a lot of this figured out before our closed beta early next year. Thank you for the comment and feedback 😊👻

@@octobergames please understand I think the time to pick up is perfect given the puppet ambush mechanic. I just think it would give the human more agency in that we the player imagine them searching through a drawer or a glass cabinet instead of just standing Infront of the item itself. Like the puppets have time to ambush since we have to unlock the item or whatever. In fact having item containers instead of just the item could allow for random placement each time the game loads a new instance. But I understand the need to telegraph the actual item ie Egyptian scroll what have you. I'm really glad you showed the footage. The human resilience is perfect in my opinion. It looks really well balanced.

Oh and yes, Toulon's Journals is played from the perspective of the Puppets. I can't believe I forgot that detail in the video. So you'll be able to play as any puppet you want when you want. I do like your idea of putting them inside of a clear container. We will take it under advisement during our internal testing. The grab time was increased as a test. The initial grab time was something more realistic. Having them out in the open is important or the overall design. We didn't want to make them too hard to find hence why they have a emissive quality. There is also a mechanic that highlight the artifacts after a specific amount of time has passed just in case you just cant find them. The catch is that they are also revealed to the puppets as well.
I didn't know this existed until now. What an awesome franchise to make a game out of!

@@octobergames 😂 it’s something that’s totally up to you! as a content creator, I absolutely love seeing extra depth in social interaction from game to creator to viewer base. having that value of investment with the community can be a wonderful thing. I wouldn’t know how to make it as prestigious as having extra things viewers could unlock as rewards as watching / supporting certain content creators that cover PMTG like on Twitch I asked you on twitter if that was the official game directory and you said it was. there’s a program/ system that games can get their title approved for Twitch Drops, what twitch drops are is a feature that allows viewers that are supporting / watching a creator stream PMTG while the viewer interacts with that stream overtime will unlock a cosmetic for their own account in PMTG. if Twitch Drops isn’t something that’s plausible early on with the game being so new. maybe you could organize a program that’s verbally agreed to support creators that cover PMTG with content codes! you could pass out codes to creators to give out to theirs communities to unlock certain cosmetics or something in the game that promotes loyal patronage. food for thought! i love extra social support and community depth! would love to see it in PMTG

We're a small team, and want to focus our efforts on the PC version first. Then we can start porting to consoles.

Please don't release this game in March 2023. This game needs a lot of work. I fear if you do then the game will be a flash in the pan and have no relevance.
