I left Punta Cana on 9/16/22 just before the storm. My stay was fantastic and the people were great. I’m sorry to se this happen to such a beautiful place with beautiful people 😢

I see you were at TRS Turquesa and The Paladium Complex. I will be there the first week in November. I hope the resort will still be fully open. I pray for the community of Punta Cana that they recover quickly from the storm

Yo estuve en enero 2022 y me da mucha pena ver cómo quedó ese paraíso real!!! Espero se recupere todo antes d diciembre q quiero volver a ir pero esta vez 10-14 noches xq 7 noches es muy poco tiempo para recorrer y disfrutar de tanta maravilla.

Thank you for posting I was wondering how bad it was hit happy to see it's not too bad but still I'm sure it's traumatic for people. Also that's pretty crazy about the seaweed I would have imagined it would have brought back more seeweed to. Guess mother nature trying to give people some good news 😂

Landed in Punta Cana on 9/17 and stayed a week. Stayed at Dreams Palm Beach. Had an ocean view room on the 3rd floor and got hit really hard. Rained pretty good on my wife’s bday which was two days after the storm but we were still able to somewhat enjoy our trip but I’ll be honest, I’m not eager to get back to PC. Maybe some time down the road but as much as people hype it up, I wasn’t too impressed. Maybe because of the storm and couldn’t enjoy the beach at all. Great people though.

Hola, Greg 🙂 not particularly no but we’ve been to a couple of hotels in the Bavaro and Uvero Alto areas and the damage they suffered does not impede their operations and are making the necessary changes to keep everything as normal as possible and rebuilding what got damaged in real time

Great video as always but the volume of the music was way too high.

Estuve en Punta Cana durante el huracán Fiona, dos días de lluvia y viento, luego sol. Hace 16 años estuve también en el mismo sitio, lo encontré diferente , ya no es tan natural, encontré el paraíso sobreexplotado y con mucha mucha gente. Me dio mucha pena, ya no es lo mismo, deberían de tomar nota y cuidar más el entorno. Es una máquina de hacer dinero, solo importa eso. Muy triste 😢

We fly out 27th Sept was meant to stay at the hilton but been moved to the Royalton. Not happy about that. How bad is the Hilton? In la romana, If you know. Thank you for video feel much better now seeing this video.

We don’t have any info on the Hilton but La Romana was closer to the higher winds of Fiona so it should have received more damage. We just came back from the Royalton Bavaro and we enjoyed our time there 🙂 we’ll do a review about it this Sunday

I am planning to fly down for a week next Wednesday Sep 28 to Grand Sirenis Aqua Games. Do you know if it's safe for the kids. Do they have electricity...Thanks

We don’t have any information on the Grand Sirenis specifically but we don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be safe or be without power even today. I wouldn’t worry about it 🙂

At the club med we must have gotten all of your seaweed. It took days for them to clean most of it up.

El pasado viernes regresé de una estancia de nueve días en el complejo Palladium de Punta Cana, pocos días antes del huracán Fiona. Observé que, a diferencia de años anteriores, la playa ya estaba bastante metida en las tiendas de El Cortecito y en el hotel Palladium en esa parte. Los puestos estaban apuntalados y reforzados con sacos de arena. El hotel estaba derribando una instalación de la playa por la subida del mar. Tras el paso del huracán, en su vídeo veo en el hotel los daños propios en estructuras frágiles como las palapas de playa, pero la línea de costa está más o menos igual que antes del huracán. Sí veo mucho, mucho más dañadas las tiendas de El Cortecito. Cuando le dijimos a una encantadora camarera del hotel que veíamos el mar se había comido mucha playa, ella contestó: "El mar dijo que era suyo, y se lo llevó", y tenía razón. Ojalá que los negocios se recuperen pronto y puedan salir adelante. Muchas gracias por el vídeo. 😍😍

En los días en que hay marea más alta de lo normal casi no hay dónde estar en la playa porque el agua llega a donde están los chaise lounges…

Has the Hurricane passed through now completely and just the usual rain and sunshine. No likely recurrence of Fiona? Im hoping to visit from 4th October.

I’m not sure if I should cancel my entire trip Oct 20-24. The hotel I was going to stay at sanctuary cana is closed down till nov or Dec so I lost my booking. I would like to re book at another resort but will it be to vacation there by then?

We’ve stayed at two hotels post Fiona and while both received damage at some of their facilities, they were already fixing them and hotel operations were not very affected. I would definitely wouldn’t cancel! If you can find another resort you’d like to visit and it has availability I don’t see why not 🙂

Hi, sorry for all the questions but I am coming to the Grand palladium in a couple of weeks and I have been watching your videos and love them. I have noticed that some restaurants on the grand palladium have changed names, do you know why this is?

We love questions so keep them coming! :) We don't know specifically why they changed names but don't read too much about it... hotels rebrand things from time to time. I would inquire if it's the same cuisine or style of food though to plan ahead.

You are correct, Jorge, although internationally, Punt Cana, Cap Cana, Bavaro, and Uvero Alto are all known as Punta Cana for simplicity 🙂
