Best clip ever!! I moved from Australia to New Zealand with kids and was fascinated by the same thing 😂. "What sounds are the teachers making when teaching vowel sounds?" Accents are taught by everyone around you but reinforced at school. I always get teased for my Aussie accent in NZ! So funny you thought about this and said it 😂😂😂 Love it!!

No is no in Aus/NZ but there is a slang term for no which is commonly used which is "na" different word, same meaning. Not taught in schools but slang. Similar to saying yeah instead of yes.

I was listening to a JRE podcast with John Wayne Parr once and Rogan started giving John shit about his accent. He just replied "mate, if we were in Australia, you'd be the one with the accent". Its a kind of American chauvinism I guess. There is no one "correct" accent, and if there was it sure as hell isn't American English. I can barely understand some southerners. Even average Americans say words in very strange ways (to an Australian), like mirror of aluminium, and they can be pretty harsh on vowels themselves. I guess I have to remember this next time I give a kiwi shit about their accent.
Accents: "Water" Friend of mine asked for water in Canada with an Australian accent. They couldn't understand her. When I say my name is Michael - Americans hear Marco... I changed to Mike.

I used to live in the GC. Some of the best waves in the world but the crowds are too much. I live in NSW now and it's heaps better for surfing.

The flight ✈️ to Sydney is brutal. Quantum Airlines people aren’t very friendly. Also, Australia doesn’t take take American 🇺🇸 money. Darling Harbour was awesome. Walked the entire Barangaroo Refuge with my husband. We walked from Pier 24 all the way to 1 & took a cab back. Piermont Hotel & Gilmore Hotel are over 100-yrs. old Be safe. Be well. Quiksilver cut everyone's pay by 90% in some cases so everyone left. His contract probably expired and they made him an offer he couldn't approve. ABG is driving the old brands into the ground soon to be at a Walmart near you, Quiksilver, roxy, billabong, RVCA, honolua, DC shoes, etc
