We have washout hooks but most plants have rules against it now. We can only use them on small family owned plants.

You ever try priming with Portland?

I have, and it works just as good. I just find the slick packs to be more of a convenience product. With Portland you either have to carry the bag and tape it shut everytime you get a cup out of it to mix or you have to switch it to a bucket with a lid and if any moisture gets in, then it's basically ruined. Slick packs are just a lot easier to pack away and your dosage is already pre packed with no chance of them getting ruined sitting in a compartment.

You should have put it in reverse before you pull the hose around to the side that whould have taken some back and then you don't have it coming out while moving but hold the hose up so it can flow back down the line.

Hopper was full. It would have flowed into the road.

We tried keeping the hopper empty at the end just for that but when I told the driver a little he filled it lol.

do u ever try to.help finishers when u r pumping? or give advice? jw...most pump guys can see grade but thats about it. but u r not a normal pump guy either. 1 other question have u ever used a front discharge truck or a volumetric mixer?

Yeah we have a few local plants that have front discharge trucks, we will be pouring a slab with one in tomorrow's video! As for volumetric mixers I have never even seen one local lol. And YES we are always trying to help finishers and give advice but some guys kind of take it the wrong way or just simply don't want the help so its a fine line on what you do or say on someone else's job.
