I would like to see the competition of pouring a rooftop. 3-4 stories up. I have found certain boom Designs cater to that job better. We are getting into that a lot more in our market now. I have been agricultural side with the big booms but now the other is popping up around us.

That is a FANTASTIC idea!!!! The roof of our shop is actually 40 feet up. Perhaps we’ll use that as the testing area.

I live in london ontario and have been a fan of the channel for a few years now. You have shown me a lot. I flew to vancouver from toronto on july 21st and the first thing i saw when i stepped outside the air port was your isuzu line pump in action!!!!!!!! I wanted to come say hello to ian or whoever was there but didnt wana get in the way and had to get going. I was almost star struck lol but my friends did not understand 😂 anyways PUMP ON!!

That is awesome!!!!! Most definitely was Ian running the Isuzu line-pump that day (I recall the exact job/pour you are referring to). Appreciate you supporting the channel. I’m planning to attend the Canadian Concrete Expo next year in Ontario. It’s a great event, if you get the chance to come hang out.

Would have liked to see the boom set up and unfold under power line. Smart to have minimum safe clearences for varying voltgages available at job site. Important to have crew aware/trained that if pumper ever becomes energized with men on the truck they must not try to get off or move around grab or touch anything stay still on truck until power has been cut, this should also include men on the concrete truck if delivery has begun to the pumper. How about a classic 1/4 mile drag race for the upcoming pumper challenge. Ray

I actually thought/am thinking about the drag race. Even just stoplight-speed limit and possibly a pull up a long hill. Interestingly enough, both pumps are on Peterbilt 320 chassis with Cummins 400 horse engines. Ours is an Allison Auto, the Alliance is an Eaton fuller manual. We would smoke the Alliance from a stoplight, but I suspect they would pull us on a long hill…. So many great ideas here in the comments 🤔🤔🤔

It’s something I’ve typically stayed away from as rules and regulations differ so much from one area to the next. Last thing I want to inadvertently do is misguide someone into a potentially dangerous situation. I’m hoping my explanation and attached information at the start of the video conveyed that message appropriately. Powerline safety is definitely something which can never to discussed/revisited/refreshed enough. Glad you like it Randy.

Ya should u suck back challenge as well, which pump socks back a sponges in z fold, I think z fold with all sections closed right up almost in the cradle, socks back better like that then in conventional

I prefer 10-15 as it makes for a nicer concrete shower when I chuck the pump in full volume reverse!!!

Supply was “spotty” on this one. I believe there were about 9 hours getting it all pumped in.

I've got vid of the alliance 38zz, 4 full sections in the building. Still prefer the Putz for usability, and smoothness of the sticks. Scanreco/Omnex remotes are dog§ĥịṭ, no getting around that. HBC for the W

So I think the Alliance will no doubt take the crown in terms of how many sections it can get in through the 12’ doorway. The Putz I think will be quicker to fold/unfold from cradle-cradle. The elevated deck challenge (as mentioned by “kyledally8410” in the comments) I think the Putz will reign supreme. To me, the Alliance ZZ will have an advantage in the absolute tightest of scenarios, but the Putz will be far more practical in terms of work which most of us pumpers do the majority of days. Either way, I think it’s going to be a very close contest, and will likely come down to subjective opinion.,
